Mainlining is for more then just pruning for huge yields! There are benefits that you don't get with other methods like ....
Better nutrient delivery
Less larf
More even same size colas for easier drying
Better spacing between colas for better oxygen to each bud
Easier trimming at harvest....
The list goes on and on. And yes you can have hundreds of colas per plant. You choose...it's all up to what you want to go for.

Saw the pics. So that is different then just topping? Is the difference that you strip the lower part of the branch?
