K locks out K

So how do you know if it's too much K, locking out K?
I've experimented with high K before when I saw K deficiency, and went overboard once, but chilled out and it recovered. I've been experimenting with high K on a clone only Pura Vida and it's getting more deficient in K the more I give it to her. But I was giving it a massive doses of soluble K.

Don't get out the pitchforks guys, but I'm gonna flush it a little tomorrow or sometime soon when I get motivated.

Like I said though, I've seen it happen before when I give too much soluble K.

Here's a couple pics I took just now. It's in a mini 16" x 16" x 48" tent. This should give you an idea what I mean.

According to the article, you pay to have a soil samples analyzed, regularly. Or grow in hydro to avoid the issue entirely. :bigjoint:
I'm just freeballing it here. Never had the soil tested. Just guessing based on what I see. And I'm growing organically, which is why I posted this in the Organics section. I will get some tested sometime though. Just haven't done it yet.

On a positive note, the tea and top dress looked like it breathed a bit of life back into the medium. .new growth coming through far healthier than before. Mid week 4 and starting to thiccen. It's always good to make mistakes on free seeds first.

From the top photo it almost looked like it bounced back too much.. tip discolouration which I hope isn't impending burn.

Looking good. I'm gonna give mine some Epsom salt tonight to try to antagonize the K. I don't feel like flushing anything right now. I'm just experimenting.

I've done experimental grows a few times, and people here don't like it lol. .I had three plants going in three tents, all with decent quantum Boards, good medium and monitoring. I made the mistake of posting a grow with a few household globes and $3 potting mix to see how it compared to the proper setups for a fraction of the price and pretty much every response was "if you want to waste your time go ahead. Purchase a real light first time round". "you shouldn't bother if you can't afford real lights for your first grow" "your wasting everyone's time" "you clearly don't understand what a plant needs" I was like, bro I just pulled close to a pound out of a 2x4, and I've got multiple tents going, this is just out of interest to see what $15 worth of globes can do as a comparison to the other three grows I currently have". It all fell on deaf ears.

The reactions were brutal, and almost like they couldn't read the actual post lol.

I want to do a run next in peat moss/vermiculite 60/40 with nothing but slow release prills to see if the opinions on slow release, non weed specific prills are in the ballpark of straight trash like mentioned here, or half decent. I won't be posting it here as I'll be torn to shreds lol. I've mentioned that I have successfully amended Coco with dry organic and I get absolutely shredded even though I post half pound autos to follow. This is what I plan to test. I'm not in WA so I have the 7.8:3.7:9.6 version. It cost me $1 lol
