Kannabia smile 7 weeks into flower -pics

So heres one of my freebie seeds (the only one i kept indoors) the smile.

It's 7 weeks since switching to 12/12 vegd for 3 weeks.

Using just under 250w of cfl for the one lady.

My conditions are far far from ideal hence no super buddage as I have done with cfl's before, there simply wasn't good enough ventalation in the closet and temps are reaching 90 outdoors meaning with lights on it gets quite hot in there even with a fan blowing directly onto/above plant. No extraction whatsoever other than closet door open.

So I have a question regarding best time to harvest her as she is mostly sativa dominant i think? I read somewhere that sativa strains should be harvested with clear/cloudy trichs without letting them turn amber for the true sativa head high. How true is this?

Never done a sativa dom strain before so not really sure.

I was thinking another 10 to 14 days for a nice head high.

Your really in week 4 or 5 right now. At least another 5 weeks to go.

14 days may be a bit too soon, but they always tend to swell up a lot in the last couple weeks. If you have something to magnify them keep an eye on the trichs and chop when you feel the time is right. If you're looking to get stupefied, chop when they're mostly cloudy, but I'd let a few get amber just to give it that little body high it needs to be well-rounded. But that's just my preference.

Sure is. The pics are a bit fuzzy, but most of the trichs look cloudy from what I can see. If you harvest now you'll probably get a bigtime head high harvesting now would probably be fine. If you could stand to let it go a bit longer you could and get more of a narcotic buzz to it, but now would be ok. I like to let about 2/3 of the hairs get amber too, but again that's just my preference.

Thanks for your input, i'm gonna let it keep going and keep an eye on the trichs very closely in the coming week or two and harvest when I see any signs of amber trichs.

The one smile plant is totally stinking!

After rubbing my finger over a bud the smell left behind is exceptionally good. Can deff smell some haze in there along with a mix of very fruity/sour undertones.

I am so excited to smoke this stuff, I feel it might be the one strain i'v been searching for.

Anything really. A 5x or 10x would probably magnify them enough, but as long as you can see them in detail it shouldn't matter. I'm using a regular 2x magnifying glass and can see everything pretty well.
