Karma?

Do you believe in karma yes or no? If you are wondering why I am asking this here is a story below.

So I'm 19, there is a store in my city that will sell to you if you are under 21, the last time I went in there I was short a dollar the total came to $21.00 I only had $20 on me, I told the guy I'll pay him next time. Today I go in there to buy something and the total was $5, I gave the guy $6 from the dollar I owed him I told him it was from the last time. I'm unsure if he remembered or not (I mean this was on Friday) but I was thinking maybe cause I paid him back Karma will work its way back to me?
 
all you did was prevent bad karma. you owed; you repayed. his being aware of your debt or not in no way negated the fact that you owed him. do something unsolicited and nice for a stranger if you wanna rack up karma points. and yes it's a very real force in the universe; any who say otherwise are too young to have experienced it enough times to see it for what it is; cosmic balance.
 
You only broke even and did what you were suppose to.

Go help someone then maybe it will.

So your saying by what I did I prevented bad from happening to me? But if I do something bad aren't I just begging to receive a consequence regardless karma or not?
 
If you do something bad, you're putting bad energy out into the universe; that same energy invariably returns to it's source: you. karma is just another word for consequences. in the truest sense of the word, there is no "good" or "bad" karma; there is just karma. a system of balances within the universe. it's like saying one weight is "bad" and another "good." not the case; they simply are what they are. if you're a piece of shit, shitty things are going to pop off in your life. if you're a good person, good things happen for you. ask any old person...

you didn't prevent something "bad" from happening; you just took control of the way the balance was achieved. otherwise, you'd have dropped a dollar or two out of your pocket one of the next times you were in the store. funny thing about karma is, the guy you owed probably wouldn't be the one to find your two bucks either; it would be someone who was 1.80 short for what he needed.

But that outlook could lead to apathy; nothing is truly self-less, for none are separated. regardless of any self-serving agendas, if you help a stranger, you help a stranger. if one does it enough times cynically, they eventually see the greater scheme at play. it's neat really.

like, if you bought a homeless family's kids a bunch of toys at christmas time just to make yourself feel like you're a better person for having done it, that's fine; those kids couldn't give a shit that you're a selfish scumbag & it's their joy that would come back to you as karma. so selfish reasons may cancel out some degree of the benefits of charitable works but it can't cancel all of it.
 
i think that what you did was kind... i do believe in karma and think that you probably showed that what you say, you mean! thats always good right?
 
You already had good karma come your way - he fronted you a dollar.

Hands down, bad karma would be yours if you hadn't paid it back.

Now you're open for more financial good karma.

Of course I believe in karma... since I've started to (and it's been years) I have had many positive things happen in my life and very little negative...

ya...now that uv edited it lol...that last line wasnt there when i responded.....and im just tired of ppl thinkin they are 100% right and know EVERYTHING....ppl get themselves killed over said beliefs...and i think its just a bunch of bullshit and a waste of time....and im not a "luciferian"...more atheist...i dont believe in a devil....or a god for that matter....karma....is a completely different story
