Guess I am late to the party, maybe I need to get out more but I only noticed the thread a few days ago. This is a worthy project you have going here with old school Bubba Kush. Glad to see it.

Some of those crosses sound great, well chosen genetics. I had been eying your Sour Bubba S1 packs before spotting this thread.

Fun to watch your project. I will be following along. Thanks for sharing. :smile:

What strain in ur opinion makes best quality (flavor wise) bubble hash? Sour bubba sounds tasty?

I'm not a Bubble Hash person, but I like to squish rosin. That said, the Dracarys made excellent rosin. I haven't run the Sour Bubba for close to 15 years but I suspect she would make some mighty fine hash as well - gassy Bubba? Mmmm....

The freebies (Xanadu - Bandaid Haze 7 x Pre 98 Bubba Kush) are going to be SUPER fire as well, I think (growing them out, now). I squished some of the Bandaid Haze 7 to take to a cannabis related meeting and smoked out with an old hard-core Indica head with my pen and Brain Fogger atomizer. The guy really liked the taste and took 5-7 hits off of the thing during our 40 minute meeting (which ended around 1 in the afternoon). I got a text from him at 10PM saying that he had fallen asleep at 3 and just woke up and high as fuck, wondering what the hell I gave him. The following day at 1 in the afternoon he texted me again, saying that he fell asleep after his 10PM text and had just woken up and was STILL a little high!

I'm not normally a huge Sativa fan but Bodhi's Bandaid Haze is something special. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it pairs up with the Bubba as some of my favorite smokes have been crosses of great Indicas and great Sativas...

Thanks, brother. A couple of the crosses I've run before (Dracarys, Sour Bubba) - the rest are going to be as much fun for me as for everyone else. There's not a loser in the bunch, with some of the genetics dug up from WAY back that weren't spread around as much as some of the others. The Schrom is straight up fucking fire - it's a cross of '74 Santa Marta Columbian with Romulan that Schroomy420 made around in '03. I recently was fortunate enough to source the Jacqueline Orange from Nebu (aka Jackie O) - a gorgeous super orangy hybrid that is actually strong enough to make it through the Katsu culling (most orange strains are a bit weak, terps alone don't cut it for me). The ChemSis did some really interesting things to the Chocolate Diesel to make the Gorilla Glue 4, I'm really looking forward to seeing what she does with the Bubba. The OGKB 2.0 clone from ChunkyPigs is a stinky little bitch that won a cup in '15 - unlike the original OGKB, this one is really vigorous and I think the terp combination of this with Bubba is going to be unreal. I've only run the Key Lime Pie clone once, but I'll be keeping her for a while - there's not really too much "limy" about her but she's a gorgeous plant that has a nice "kushy" terp profile that I can't quite put my finger on (it's my avatar pic) - the Kaffir Kush I made crossing her looks like a Christmas tree and might be the first one done :-) So many strains, so little time...

I'm also super excited to run some of the Katsu Bubba x Pre 98 Bubba beans as well as the Black Lime x Pre98 beans. I don't know where I'm going to fit all of the stuff I need to grow. I need to find a serious grower that has the ability to run 100+ at a time to help me do some pheno hunting. If any of you know of some peeps that might be interested please let me know.

I'm on the 3rd lesson. I really have to be careful how much I dab before I watch or it takes me twice as long. Really high-level shit - in the meantime, I am totally stoked I figured out my biggest photo issue which was white balancing (purchased a grey card) - already a HUGE difference in the quality of photos :-)

Lots of interesting crosses you have there. My kind of stuff too. I have had a few awesome Black Limes so it caught my eye but they all sound great.

Kudos on stepping up the photo skills, much improved & good use of focal length on the last few.

I’m getting sort of hyped as that bubba gets primed to spluff lol and feel like meeting you was a bit of fate man, like you Katsu I have been on hiatus from growing and am now returning. Been off and on since the 80s. I didn’t have anyone in my circle that could return my cuts to me though as the only one I ever told back then was my cousin who I tried to give clones to but he killed them, tears.... lol but to actually meet you in here is just to karmic for words right now. I just wanted to express that to you brother Katsu! I will explain more as this all goes down the road! Just know it’s very much a pleasure to have made your acquaintance!

Thoughts on Schromba? It's 50% Romulan x '74 Santa Marta Columbian and 50% Bubba - I figure whichever way it leans it's going to be pretty awesome. Out of the gate they look like they are going to take a bit longer to flower like the Xanadu, but sometimes you have to wait longer for something special :-)

Here's a shot of the ChemSis at about 24 days into flower - she's JUST about to get hit up with the Pre98 Bubba Kush pollen from the next reversal.
Bubba's Sis is a cross of this with the reversed Pre-98 Bubba Kush. I'm running 3 of the Bubba's Sis at the moment. For extraction purposes, the Bubba Kush just doesn't produce enough indoors to make it a viable candidate for every day squishing. A "chem-y" Bubba with 3-4 times the yield is the goal - I'll keep you posted. I'm going to figure out which of the crosses I want to dig into after this "sample tent" is finished. If all goes according to plan, I'll run 40 of whichever cross is (in order of priority).
a) uber potent b) mostly bubba flavored c) medium+ yielder d) makes killer rosin e) extraction percentages are high

anything that has a special/unique high will be given extra special consideration. ChemSis flowering at 24 days closeup.jpg
