Keeping a mother plant?

I've got a question regarding one of my main plants, she's been in vegetation her entire life span (3 months now)
and I plan on using her strictly for cuts and clones.

was wondering if this process is okay.
if she can stay under vegetation, im assuming she wont force flowering or anything else.

simple question, simple answer.

For my moms I put hydroton, leca, clay balls, whatever you want to call them, in the bottom of my mothers containers. I use them on the bottom few inches, then soil, and only organics nutes so no salts build up. I also use Hygrozyme almost every watering. The hygrozyme will break down old roots and keep the root zone healthy for your moms. Keep her under 18 to 24 hours of light and you'll be cool.

Hygrozyme you say. I'll definitely start looking into that now.
yep, strictly under 18 hours light.

can I ask why you place certain growing medium at the bottom of the pot?
my guess would be to help water drain.

Yes, the clay balls, maybe you could even use rocks or gravel of some sort maybe can be used. The bottom of your container is where most roots will "stack up" or get bound let's say, if you are keeping a plant in the same container for an extended period of time it will make it easier for old roots to die off and new ones to grow. Not sure if I explained that correctly, but it works. I have had moms up to 3 years in the same 2 gallon container, I also use mini-moms or Bonzai type moms that I have in 4 inch square containers. The mini-moms I don't keep as long because they are in testing, but they stay healthy a long time if I use the Hygrozyme, if they don't look good I make a cut, root it and make another mom.

EDIT: forgot to say that roots dying off will change the ph level, another reason to use the Hygrozyme, it helps.

well i got her in a 3gal right now, she stands up about a foot tall.
i cant do much to her now as i just took cuttlings, need to give her a break.
but when the times right, ill lift her and add some clayballs at the bottom.

and we're talking with regards to aeroponics i hope.
that being said, can i still use hygrozyme WITH [N]pk nutrients?
