I finally managed to get a small veg tent 2x2x4 which i plan to veg 1 waterfarm, I would also like to keep 2-3 small mothers for cloning purposes in there also, my question is will keeping mothers in small ,say 1 or 2 gall pots hurt my clones/mothers as i expect the mothers to become rootbound if they stay there long enough?

6" pots then into 1 gal pots then 1.75 gal then 10 gal pots seem to work good for me.I tried the bonsai moms as mentioned and it would only be good for saving genetics imo not cloneing.Try Landscaping fabric from home depot, line inside of any pot and it root prunes for you.

Air pruning Pots allow you to keep the plant from getting root bound.
I use Buckets with alot of 1in holes drilled in them lined with garden screen.
Love them......

Heres a pic of plant from 1 gal coco in rootpot next to an identical plant in coco plastic 1gal The rootpot roots looked pretty thik and way more branchy.
The larger one is from the rootpot.I bought the RootPots just to experamint with. Not sold yet but like what i see so far with em.
