Kelvin Question

Hey There all, Im Sobe and i have been lurking for quite awhile and found alot of great info on this site.
Heres my question: I messed up the first time and was using 4 23watt 3500k lights for 4 plants. Today i finally got 2 6500k and 2 2700k lights because i read you can mix them for veg and flowering. My question is would it be better to use 2 2700k or 3500k cfls for the veg state with the 6500k cfls. Thank you and keep up the great work on the site.

Hmmm... well 2700 and 3500 aren't too far apart... but it sounds like neither of them will add a bigger benefit to the plants than the other really until its time for flowering. My suggestion is.... USE EM ALL! Haha. If you don't have enough fixtures, buy some Y shaped socket splitters for like 2$ at your local hardware store. If that's out of the question for some reason though, I say just go with the 2700's.

i agree.. use them all and them when time to flower use prominatly 2700 bulbs... it is still ok to mix other spectrums of light during flower.. jsut remember for what ever stage your plants are in to make sure it is a 3 to 1 ratio.. meaning if its time to flower i woould make sure i had 3 2700k bulbs and 1 6500k bulb... good luck
