Fantastic actually. I Need to get the pics for this week. It was a holiday weekend. But none the less. Very tight spacing and very fast growth. So far they are out performing my 1000 metal halide. But it is just veg stage yet.

Nice my 350 has added some faster growth to my setup, can't wait to flower the cause it's a magenta 350. Can't wait to see your pics!

the best veg ive ever seen was from h350s, I had one and it kicked my 400watts of 6500k t5s ass.

This is the one of the only Kessil H380 grow journals I can find... if you're still around Bob, please show us some final results of this grow! I'm curious to see how these lights performed!

i think any plant would grow that fast with a light that close/that intense
at $200/sf it better give you a handjob in the morning too

heh same, I have kessil for a reef tank which is how I found their horticulture lights but unfortunately I cant find much info on them

I have used a Kessil h380 for some time as supplemental lighting and it works great for that with the gooseneck, it's quite versatile. It's not 380 watts, it's a 90watt light and isn't enough to grow a plant on its own... But great for supplemental light.

I take it the lights didn't do shit in flower mode and that's the reason he never updated this thread. Either that or Kessil got hip to this thread and stopped sending him lights.....?

Alrighty then!!! Since I can't find not one single fuc**** THOROUGH & COMPLETED grow review of this darn light on the entire world wide freakin' web I guess I'm going to hijack this thread and take matters into my own hands!!!!

I'm a big fan of Platinum Led lights but I've been having this little sucker (H380) tucked away for quite a while with the thoughts of selling it in mind. It was an impulse buy (I came across it fairly cheaply and said "what the heck, I'll buy & try"). But I eventually decided to sell it when I couldn't find not one "tried & true" review on the entire freaking internet! Why is this??? I see garbage reviews from hydro companies looking to sell the unit but no actual grow review from start to finish!!! I notice that all video reviews show the light vegging/growing pretty well but shit I can accomplish that with an led bulb from home depot! HOW WELL DOES THE FUCKING LIGHT FLOWER/BUD/BLOOM?????????

Well I'm gonna' give it a go! From start to finish too fudgecakes!!! If you want something done right...

I'm far from a pro but this ain't my first time at the rodeo neither! This grow journal will be entirely "uncut" meaning no editing, period! Totally raw & uncut because I have NO reason to lie. I wasn't given this light for free so I could care less about pissing Kessil off. You will get TRUE results from this review. It will be totally unbiased! If I get spider mites, you will know about it. If I have any issue, you will know about it. IF THIS LIGHT IS SHIT, YOU WILL KNOW ABOUT IT!!!!!

How's this going? Not personally interested in getting a Kessil, but when I spotted one at a local grow store, I got curious. Seems awfully pricey in this modern LED-era.

Nothing to report yet, still veggin' out at the moment. It grows quite nicely but there are already other videos out there documenting that aspect of the light. I personally am very curious to know how well it flowers though and that'll be the thing I focus mainly on. I'll give photo updates of the growth eventually.... I may be mistaken but I believe this was one of the first led companies to practice crowding smaller led's onto a single die, similar to a cob.

How bout some details? How are the plants looking in veg, how much area is the single H380 covering, etc.?

Here's the plant, it's still small and compact. The light has a core coverage of 2' x 2' (Kessil's website). The light is extremely bright/strong right directly under it. I had to lift the light to promote vertical growth because the light is so intense that it's keeping the plant very compact with short internodal spaces.

Topped her and she now has eight small tops so I'm gonna' start flowering her in about a week. She didn't handle topping very well and it slowed down growth dramatically, something I never experienced with any other light. But she has bounced back nicely and will soon be ready to bloom :0)
