Keyboard delay

Heeeeelp, before I crush this thing and throw it out the window.

My keyboard is constantly lagging. I type about 40wpm but I look at the keyboard so I don;t notice until I look up and see nothing was typed, then about 15 seconds later half the letters pop up. VERY F'in infuriating.

I changed the battery twice, restarted the thing twice, nothing works. Maybe my memory card?

how much ram and what all is running in the background? check the exhaust from the cpu, does it have good airflow ? sometimes if the cpu overheats it throttles it down.

Thanks, speed is not an issue. The processor is 3.9, 8gb ram, only a couple of websites open, it's just the GD keyboard and it's not all the time.

It's not the keyboard. Its the processor. Something (or many things) is running in the background and slowing it down. Hit control-alt-delete and click task manager. Sort through applications and processes to see what's using up your resources.

I used to endure similar problems when dactylographing letters for my boss in this old marketing company. This was my solution, hope it helps
