(Kind of) first time grow alone. Question for you guys.

Ok the two plants on either side have been growing for about 30 days now the one in the middle was a clone planted around june 9th. To me they feel kind of stunted and slow. Am i going crazy or am i fine? Theyve been trying to survive the 113 degree weather we had last week also so they were put under a sun cloth.

Inside pic was taken because they were getting a little beat up from some wind. Theyre having a kinda tough life..

Fox farms ocean forest, 25% perlite, going rather light on feedings with fox farm lineup once per week with mykos added when transplanted.

It's not horrible growth no. They would be bigger (especially the middle one) if they were in bigger pots. Outdoor plants thrive better with more root room.

Wow ...you should probably let all the cali growers know that then who get 10+ pounds a plant by having several hundred gallon containers.

Ok I think you missed the part when I said when they’re this small. You get a much denser root structure when you gradually move up pot sizes, you dont get salt build up, and you get more oxygen to the roots. Plus cannabis roots move out then down filling the pot.

Here inCalifornia in all thefarms I seen where you say use the “several Hundred gallon containers” not once Have I seen one farm put seedlings straight into a hundred gallon pot.

Your plants are well established and could have been transplanted awhile ago. Plus how are your roots getting much oxygen in plastic pots?
And I hate to tell you but several growers I've seen stick small plants into their massive pots and get massive results.
Even a few weeks ago my friend was going to let hers get bigger (they were smaller then yours) and I convinced her to stick them in the 300 gallon planters. Hers have quadrupled in size.
Oh well different growing methods I guess. Good luck with it all.

If you are moving these plants around I think you already know what is wrong
They appear to be not getting enough direct sunlight thus not eating enough...
And word of advice if GG gives you growing advice for outdoor
You ought to take it

So tell me this? How are my plants going to do better in a bigger pot when the roots aren’t even to the sides of the pots they’re in?

The plants get their oxygen because they’re able to utilize the whole pot and intake the water from top to bottom. Once depleted you water again with more oxegen rich water.

I did not ask about the mechanics of plant biology which i already have a degree in, I’m just asking if the heat stunted them or they’re fine.

thank you for your opinion.

Well it looks like you already have all the answers. No need to give advice to someone who already knows everything. As I said before...good luck and good day sir.

The problem I see with pots especially dark ones is the temperature fluctuation. We had a cold fall last year and people growing in pots got tiny buds on their potted plants but anything in the ground got the usual fat colas. The ground holds quite a bit of heat into the fall, and moderates the change very well.
