Agreed that things didn't change much for black people when Mr Obama was elected president. And that sucks, but now we know who the real enemies are; the one in ten thousand richest and most powerful Americans, the ones who buy and therefore run our supposedly democratic system. And I don't have to tell you @bearkat42 that classism is just as pernicious as racism, and the two very much do go hand in hand in many circles.
I'm here in these threads to say that Americans of all colors need one another; to the extent that we allow ourselves to be divided, by race, gender, faith or whatever, we allow ourselves to be conquered by those who would exploit those divisions for themselves.
