In my 2.5x5 tent I’m gonna flower 6 plants, 5 octane mint sorbet & 1 lava cake or just 6 octane mint sorbet. I already have 2 optic led phat slim 1 XL’s (104watts lm301H diodes with red & blue diodes too) that I plan on using.
But I’m stuck between getting 2 Daisy’s in 3k from timber which would put me at 418watts & 33.4 watts/ft^2. If I do that I’d have them set up alternating so it’d be like
Phatslim Daisy Phatslim Daisy
that’s 1 option but I’m wondering if I should get an alibaba kingbrite knockoff quantum board, one of the qb288 240watt boards and run that in the center of the tent with the optic phat slims on each end of it. That would put me at 448watts & 35.8watts a square foot.

Which route would you go and why? The alibaba route would be probably $50-$80 cheaper but that’s not make or break for me, at the end of the day I just want killer lighting to rock this grow!

You can't go wrong with Timber. They stand behind their product, plus RainDan from Timber is active on the boards if you have any issues with their product.
Thanks brotha, so you’d go that route? 2 daisy’s to run along with my 2 optic led phat slims?

id also get the timbers over anything from alibaba

This was my setup last run in this tent but I’ve sold the growers choice 315cmh, I have a sun system 315 but I didn’t really like mixing led & cmh and with summer practically here, the cmh will be way to hot for this tent for the next 5 months or so

So I haven’t heard back from dan or anyone at timber yet, but I don’t blame them it is a Sunday. But I did talk to ledgrowlightsdepot. I asked for an idea of when I could expect the daisy’s delivered to me (bc I want to flip to12/12 and would like to have the lights that I plan on using the entire grow from the start of flower at least. They told me 20-22 days until my order is shipped Which means I still won’t have it in my possession until some time after 20-22days. So I guess I’m looking for a plan B unfortunately Bc I really wanted those daisy’s. So I got to looking & think maybe one of rapids 2x2 DIY KITs using the hlg240 driver so I get 100watts from each light. Then I’ll throwing up my phat slims one on each side of the 2x2 rail of Rapid v3 pucks.
Using discount codes for each site I can get the daisy’s for 269&chsnge. And the rapid 2x2 diy kit running at 200watts comes out to 298 shipped. So only a $29 difference. What u guys think

Come to think of it, I might grab 2 QB 96s and a 240w or 320w driver
Idk but hopefully timber hits me up with some better news sometime tomorrow
i use the 96s myself. and im pleased with them. ive also used the vero29 cobs that timber uses in 3500k 90cri and they worked great. can't go wrong either way. the rapidled with the chilled pucks would be pretty similar to the 96s, never used em but i bet theyd be similar.

But even if I ordered them right now, I wouldn’t have them until June 23-24 or later when I want to flip to 12/12 in a week-week and a half the plants are damn near ready I’ve been LST sooo much
HLG, ChilLed, Timber are all great lights to name a few. But I don't think there's any comparison between Kingbrite and Timber. I have all HLG for my LED lights.

I've noticed a lot of grow lights are outta stock anymore. I think it's because more people have decided to start growing since the COVID shit. If you find something on the HLG site you can use promo code "RIU10" for 10% off.

I love my HLG lights man. I also like to mix them with cmh when I can get away with more heat.

Hello @Goodlandkush

Thank you for the post and your email - I have just responded to it. We are technically closed on the weekends, although every now and again we sneak in to get some catch up work done. I hope I answered your questions - feel free to contact me direct if I can be of any assistance.
