KonaGirl420 1st Grow All By Myself

spray your plants down with clean water 2 days (36 hours if possible) after you spray it down with oil. this will open the stomata on the bottom of the leaves back up. then 1 week after you sprayed down with oil the first time, repeat the while process :D this will ensure everything dies, the cycle is disrupted AND the stomata on the leaves dont close for good.

yay the pic update i've been waiting for :D

that FB is looking awsome. the only thing on my mind right now is your widow could use more light. its starting to stretch a but much with the lower growth. if it were me i would throw 2 more lamps around her sides (42 w CFL's)

I totally agree with you, it is such bullshit that I am still waiting on my 600 watt light hahaha the postman said that more than likely my light is being shipped by boat right now and will take a few more weeks lol now that is funny all I can do is laugh, but I am acutally getting one of those arch floor lamps with moveable arms later today so I can make sure I have some more overhead light and enough light for my poor widow I don't want any stress on her!! (hopefully no balls) hehehehe!!!!!! I am also looking at other used hps lights that are already on the island to see if there are any deals I can't pass up, but until my light comes in I guess this is a cfl grow :) I will take what I can get, just happy to do what I do leagally and happy to have something flowering YAY!
 
That Hydro store is next to Cost-Co if I remember correctly. I've spend 2 weeks in Dec every other yr on the Big Island. Most of the time at Wiakalola. I'm gonna stick around to see if you post another sunset photo. Best of luck on your grow.
Oh and with the number and types of pests you will encounter in paradise, you may want to consider using an agricultural product, I use Ferti-Lome Fruit tree spray. It's a miteicide, insecticide, and fungicide, http://www.fertilome.com/product.aspx?pid=56269201-b7bd-4e66-a973-c0c5531f8ff8 And its a lot cheaper than the products at the hydro store.

Yes that is actually the store I have been going to :) They are the ones that told me hands down Organocide was the best thing they had for pests and then after I read some reviews\online I went back and had a talk with the owner and we decided since its not an outdoor grow to use azamax and so far I am happy, gonna re-apply in a few days still just like the instruction say though, as far as the lights they have there I checked the store out first before I bought anything and they only had one to choose and were double the price I paid online for a better one that was digital and dimmable so thats why I even started with the cfls hahahaha!!! but now I am waiting for it to come by boat so I am waiting hehehe oh well!!

i was jut thinking for the lighting, you may not have to order from overseas but seeing as the prices are outrages (why wouldn't they be, no competition right?) i would just stick with the online. i got a badass ballast for $450, i know what the online world can bless you with sometimes :D

Edit: oh and keep posting sunset pics, i absolutely love them. i've been trying to get one from where i am with the mountains to share but its been raining for the last 3 days :(

Hy KG-Thanks for posting, becareful when ordering ballast from online, 1)shiping is a shit-ton 2) if she break got to send em back to mainland(pain in ass, happened to me with brand new 1000w Quantum). I would reccommend GGL from huboldt(Ohana) they seem to do better with our high humidity and can be exchanged there that day. Just my too cents, and I'm a sunburnt stoner.....keep researching........one love

Oh no worries at all, like I said I love all the information you guys can give me and I just moved here not to long ago so no matter how much I look things up on the internet, I still don't know what the locals know lol :) Oh and I would love seeing other peoples views of the islands in pictures I love photgrphy and theses wonderful islands!!!!

Ya that does make total sense SurfdOut, when I started looking at all the equipment I went to the store and priced just a 400 watt system and they priced a 4ft x4ft tent with the air cooled hood and all that and then I came home and did the pricing on the net, by the time I was done I could get a 600 watt digial ballast that was dimmable with a 3 year warrenty and a air cooled hood that had both types of bulbs and could take 1000 watt bulbs (if I wanted one day) and a 6ft x 6 ft tent for about $300 cheaper with shipping included and also the ducting and inline fan and timer, so I ordered it all online over a month ago lol, so everything else is here and just still waiting on the light cause the shipping was free off of e-bay hahaha and now I found out why the shipping was free.........cause they shipped it by boat and it takes 6-8 weeks!!! So I am crossing my fingers now there are no problems cause you are right if there are any it is gonna be a pain in my ass!!! I guess though I am getting a better set-up for a better price so overall I don't mind a small wait in the beginning of my growing career, if I had known now what I knew then I might have just bought the light at the store and everything else offline hahaha!!!
