Hey guys, got a mini here for ya. Made the executive to chop tonight so the trimmings can be well frozen for some has making tomorrow evening. Have BuKu and Jill already harvested, trimmed, and hang drying ... heading back in to do Mrs. O, Mohican, and Leader in that order. Set aside a few little buds from each for a smoke sample (quick dry), and will have a nice big update for you guys later tonight with shots of pre-trim, post-trim, and hanging shots. Already looking pretty great after just two plants harvested ... and 2 full zip-locks for of trim already . Appreciate all the kind words from you all, will be sure to let you know what`s coming next, already have a couple ideas ... Stay tuned tonight for some REAL nice candy y`all, thanks for sticking it out with me. Puff, puff, pass ---> Kush Trio bong rips bongsmilie

Thanks a bunch Stone, wanted to run a journal that would be informative as well as fun to check-in on. Show a little experiment as well, glad we got the turn-out we did, great bunch on people come through here :). I`ll keep you up to date on the happenings as I know, haha. Glad to see your ML doing a great job as well, glad I could be of some assistance :D

I could shoot the breeze about Kush all day mate, haha. Especially if you`ve got some OG18 like myself for the morning . Got the work done last night, harvested, trimmed, hung to dry ... photos taken with a mates assistance ... but had to pass out, haha, not meant to be a build-up as I usually do ;). Will get the update within a half hour of the process for you guys. Appreciate it Coke, tried to do right by my fellow Kush heads ;)

Be back with a BIG update for the harvest that happened the bulk of last evening after a 24h dark period as opposed to our 48 that was intended. Looks like we got a decent haul for a low-yielding strain ... but I`ll let you guys be the judge(s) of that, haha. Keep it green guys, stick around !!

So the update that was to come last night will come now after a solid 8-hour weed nap ... trimming really takes it out of ya you all know ... ;). Got a slew of pictures to put up for your enjoyment, tried to get pre-prune, post-prune, and hanging shots for everyone, and some individuals for size reference.

Without any further rambling on my part ... here`s the Harvest Update for you guys. Sit back, grab some smoke, and enjoy the labour :bigjoint:,

... and what`s a trimming without a few mishaps ... samplers anyone !? :bigjoint:

Set aside a few little nuggets of each plant to have a quick dry test at some point in the next few days, but also have 6 ziplocks full of trim that`s well on it`s way to being adequately frozen for our hash-making today. Will do a full rundown and post pictures as that goes down as well as the final product, the micron size of the bags used ... and of course the ever-popular smoke report of the flower and hash in a week or so. Will also get the weight for each lady as well as the group for a g/W breakdown :). Thanks for the patience, those of you have been with us for some time, thanks a million for your contributions. Hope everyone has a great weekend, stick around for more, keep it green mates!

Much appreciated Coke, was glad to have you from near beginning, so thank you :). Not sure what we`ll do next run ... have a massive selection to try to get to. I don`t usually journal the grows, but I might do it again for other strains if people you guys are interested. Was contemplating a Battle of the Kushes ... ;)

Thanks Clink, wanted to try to be thorough so this thread could be referenced in the event someone needs it, good pictures only helps the cause right, haha. Loving your Skywalker journal too mate, can`t wait till she gets the yank soon !! Thanks for stopping in mate,

Amazing work KC, those buds look dank as hell, you will be one stoned motherfu*ker very soon :D
Haha, hoping to be EC :blsmoke:. We`ve lost some weight from the drying already, but I can already see why growers have heralded the Cataracts as low-yield, but every Cataract bud is rock-dense, getting a lovely stink now too :D

soooo jealous
Just have to get your Kush on Caddy ;)

An amazing grow KC, well done:)
Thanks fr3d, appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed :)

Thanks brother, I`m looking forward to trying Mrs. O when she`s all dried and had a cure, she is seriously dank. Leaders buds are a lot more OG and feels like the weight will be there, but Mohican hit pretty perfectly in the middle of both, yielding well (for the strain) as well as getting the frosting Mrs. O got from the LA dom side of the cut. Will fill you in on the hash situation as well ...

So spent the time doing up some bubble yesterday afternoon ...

First time running the fan leaves through (as they were pretty coated in trichromes) ... remembered why we do not do this ...

So we used 460g of trimmings (frozen, just over a lb), with your standard 3 bags of ice, 2 1-gallon jugs of distilled water, and I chose to the old school wood spoon and lots of time method, haha. I think the hand mixers go a bit far sometimes. We hand mix (vigorously) for about 75 minutes until we see frothy ... let it stand in the workbag for about 5 minutes ... and sift out our ... goodies ... ?

IMG_0190.jpg IMG_0191.jpg IMG_0194.jpg

IMG_0196.jpg
IMG_0198.jpg IMG_0199.jpg IMG_0204.jpg

IMG_0208.jpg IMG_0202.jpg IMG_0197.jpg

We got green hash ... too much leaf material undried !! ** If you are going to use the leaf material, which I haven`t used in the past, complete the drying process on them the way you would the buds to void the chlorophyll **

IMG_0203.jpg IMG_0205.jpg IMG_0206.jpg

Ended up pulling out about 13g of the green, set to dry. Had the leaf material not been used ... we would`ve seen some nice stuff here. Will edit in some pictures of the process that were taken yesterday by my camera man mate, and will still test the nice looking light green 74micron bag that has the perfect consistency regardless of color.

IMG_0207.jpg

Also pulling the few tiny test buds from each (trim oops`) into my Wikka box for some fast dry so we can get a test on them before a cure. Will be sure to give a nice report for the Thread :)

IMG-20130707-00769.jpg

Apologies on the Hash installment guys, again will edit in some pictures in a few here ... but we`ll have that smoke report and a weigh out yet. Any feedback into something anyone wants to see run ... ? ATB and keep it green (except your hash) guys ;)

Tried me some of the 74micron hash today when my mate brought the volcano over :D. He is a Crohn`s patient and a heavy toker so I invited him to be a sampler for his medical perspective. Hash was still kind of heady from the green matter I imagine, but the body stone was everything I was looking for. My mate said he felt great for longer than normal after and took away some of his stomach pains . So not a total loss, but the Hash installment was not up to my standards nonetheless.

Will move our buds into containers for curing by Friday I reckon, but not before getting a weight on each lady for you guys and a last little photo shoot for the Finale! Stay tuned guys, thanks for the comments, as always, keep it green :bigjoint:

The way I look at it is if you're not making some mistakes along the way you're probably not trying hard enough! Its been great following along on this thread.

That`s the way I look at it too Yankee ... just would`ve preferred the mistakes to come somewhere other than the Hash Update :p. Thanks for your input throughout, you`re a great gardener yourself mate

Love it Steelie, the information has to be there, but without all the great people rolling through it`s all lost really. Will again give a shout out to everyone for the support and input along the way. Hoping the schooling will just be icing :), but that will actually lead to the following post after this one ;)

Where'd you get those awesome circular drying hangers?
Those are a Dollar Store find CP, cost me around $12 for the 5 hangers. I`ve always thought growers and most smokers to be highly creative people ... our thrift in the gardens just reassures that for me ;)

Got a little post to put up for you guys ... more goodies ... but of a different sort ... Be back in a few with some pictures :D
