Kush Box

I may have stressed them a bit by topping so close to transition and defoliating at/near the same time, I really don't have much experience training plants indoors. However I like how many flower sites there are so far.

I loosely draped that trellis net over with no intentions of it holding up weight but more to train branches around the canopy while they were still malleable and give time for some of the lowers to catch up. Soon I will build a pvc cage so I can put a new working layer of trellis above for full flower weight.

Next piece is a dehu. Up until now they have liked the humid and hot room but I hate having to run the heater from morning-noon and I will want to drop humidity soon for flowering. Does anybody advise placing a dehu in the room to do both heating and dehumidifying? These rooms are very insulated(ostrich incubation chambers), if I do not run the heater the room will stay high 60-low70s until the sun hits the room fully(1-2pm), then it creeps up to the 80's.

Put a dehu in the room with a drain. The vpd got better, .7-1.0 before and now it's easy to keep it 1-1.4, will trial tomorrow with no heater to see if the light and dehu warm the room enough to supply ample kpa.

Did another defoliation last night to let more light through and unclog the innards a bit, I think I will let them go from here on out. I set the dehu a little higher overnight(65) as a test to see what would happen and be a little safe from just continuously adding heat while I wasn't there. The humidity was better in the morning but still a little low on temps(low 70), will step down the dehu each night until its drier and warmer. The room did warm up faster after lights on in comparison to no dehu so I think I will be able to cut the heater/ac use out with this setup.

Cut some wood to place under the short plants, canopy is pretty even now. Gotta get the real trellis layer going asap before stuff starts flopping. Raised the light up to 24" and reduced daylight hrs by 30 mins, trying to biomimic outdoors. Will probably dim light slightly with more daylight reduction as things get further.

First round ended up going well. Bty was a piney cologne by the cure and the malibu pure kush was gassy rubberbands. I think I could have done a little better, I didn't have my full fert arsenal and I may have stressed the plants a bit by topping late and defoliating a bit too much so I adjusted a little for this 2nd round.

For round 2 I added a heater to buffer night temps and get closer to 1:1 day to night temps than before. Average day time temps are higher, plant vigor and health went up a bit. We added another 320w Evo3 next to our Evo8, I think two evo8's would be best for this setup, maybe later. For now some bamboo stakes, more canopy airflow and bigger exhaust is next to improve.

Round 2 : 10gal GMO, Jet Fuel Gelato, Canal Street Runtz, and 5gal pheno hunt of TKTKNL5H x Lime1bx F2 seeds I made a few years ago. Terps ranged from berry to pine chemical cleaner last time we grew some.

Long time no update. Will try to upload pictures later this evening. The first 2 runs in here I ran the lights at 100% the entire time pretty much, running the hang height a little higher than normal to get a wider footprint.

800w 1st run, then 800+300 2nd run, now 800+300+300 3rd run. As I added the 3rd light I'm hanging them a little closer to canopy than prior and dimming the array to around 75% this run. I think with one more Evo3 I could get a very even footprint across the entire 9x9 space and dim them further. With fans on the drivers and dimmed they are just warm to the touch. The room feels much nicer avg temp and plant health looks better to me with all the cross lighting going on.

Considering setting up an auto watering olla system since there are spigots in the room. Possibly underlighting later this year. We'll see.

Did a pheno hunt of TK TKNL5Haze Lime1bx F2 seeds I made, rerunning a few cuts this time. Found one that smells like blueberry jam, one is pine kush, another like chlorine trash funk, and some citrus hazey ones.

Forgive me for the photo quality, the protective glass fell off a while ago and the actual camera lense is exposed and damaged.

Kind of stocked up on flower now so this 3rd run is a more pheno hunt : We have blueberry muffin from HSC. Bubba S1, Bubba x Katsu Bubba, Bubba x Irene Kush from CSI. A few TKlime F2 phenos we are rerunning. The old strawberry cough clone is about to go in. I will throw another few GMO and CS Runtz in there. Discovering I don't really like topping my plants as much, I think 4th round I will go without. It seems the plants find an efficient use of the space on their own. I topped 3 GMO cuts one time and left 3 untopped and some of the untopped plants had better yield and quality for whatever reason. But I'm not an expert or anything, I still am fucking up here and there.

3rd round not really going for maximum yields, just better plant expression.

TKlime f2 selection. Topped 1x, reminds me of GMO structure a little. Blueberry and pine kush pheno
