Hey Bro, got bored and had a few questions about your Hydro set up that your switching too. Are your totes light proof i.e a dark color ? What kind of medium are you using, Rockwool, rapid rooter plugs or hydroton? How many plants are you going to run per tote? Hope your RBC and ICE are kicking ass

I built my first DWC tote last night. I used 9 3.75" net pots. It's a Rubbermaid roughneck 22Gallom reservoir. I will take some pictures tonight If I remember to get new batteries for my camera. I decided to use root riot cubes(like rockwool) to start them in and will put the cube in the net pots and surround with hydroton. I can't wait to try this setup out. There going to be a little cramped but it's going to be a 0 veg SOG so I think 9 plants per tote will be okay. Thanks for your help bro.

DUDE, hard to tell from the pics but are the resevoirs clear??? if so you need to either get dark ones or find a way to cover that up or you will be dealing with algae the whole time. Get you some of that reflective ducting tape and just tape up the sides of your res.

Hard to tell from the pic but how many bubble bars are you running per tote? the more bubbles you can get into the res the healthier they will be. I use two five inch round ones in mine. Otherwise they look bad ass. more than enough space for a sog. you definitely did an amazing job setting them up just make em light proof and your golden

The totes are dark blue and have 2 air stones a large round one from hydro shop and 14" walmart aquarium one. I think it will work out well, Thanks for the kind words and help.

Okay I'm debating between these 3 part nutes.

GH Flora Series Gro, Micro, Bloom or AN Micro, grow, bloom

and I think I've decided to use foxfarm microbe brew to use in the reservoir too.

I will be also using a bud enhancer like Bud candy.

Will these be a complete enough nutrient package to get me through some successful dwc harvests?

Here's the RBC and ICE progress so far...

and here's the LA Woman 24 days into flower. They have not had but very weak nutes tiger bloom 2 1/2 teaspoons in 5 gallons. I mixed up a new batch of nutes tiger bloom 5 teaspoons to 4 gallons for next feeding. Their starting to get a little bit of frost on tops :)

Won't be long now and I'll be chopping and switching to DWC style grow. I'm so excited!

Do you guys think they look good for 3 weeks and few days of 12/12? Looks pretty normal from my experiences. Never used H.I.D. lighting though.

For those of you not following from the beginning The mother plant (tied down in the pics flowering) Is a clone from a L.A. woman plant 5 weeks into flowering that I revegged to start my grow with a for sure female mother.

Also I have a question about my RBC. I have like a whitish looking part on the bottom stalk. I believe this from the cotyledon (round leaves.)
It's been awhile since I've grown from seed but I think I've seen this before and it's normal. What do you guys think, it's growing well under the 250watt MH. They all are in fact. Look at the pics from April 2 and then today. The other RBC cotyledons are stuck together still and starting to yellow.(I know they yellow and fall off eventually this is the smaller of the two RBC.)

I have 3 Fem RBC beans and 5 Fem Ice seeds left over. How should I store these? In a fridge or....
I currently have them in a closet.

In the pictures with the Two 3 gallon grow bags these are the Rasberry Cough. In the pictures with 3 cups the very back cup is the RBC and others are Ice. The Ice are about a week or more behind because the first 2 Ice seeds didn't germinate.

Thanks bro. I can't wait to put some clones in my DWC setup.

What do you mean 60 is too cold Benny4658?

Too cold for my flowering plants when the light is off? It get's colder than 60*F in the fall outside here so I think their fine plus I like the blue/purple tints they get in cooler night temps. Do you guys think it is hurting my bud production at these temps? The tops are nice and frosty already got another 5-7 weeks to go.

your temps are great...the whole grow is great. Can't wait to see how much they pack on. Love the plaid pants too. I'm always taking pictures in my pajamas after I wake up in the morning...1st thing I do after kissing the wife.

^^ LOL same here. (Jammies and kissing the wife). Yeah I hope they pack on a lot. The clones sure shot up quick. Yeah I love my area because it usually stays between 58-65 degrees through all four seasons.

The RBC's are really starting to take off. One of the Ice is coming along nice and the other still a bit low I'm sure they'll catch up. Think I'll start feeding them in the next week or two and then hopefully be cloning a week or so after that and firing up the DWC :) I hope to see a lot faster growth in the DWC machine. I'm a little confused on how to go about using nutes as I'm to be throwing them in the flowering room a day or so after they grow a good root mass. Also do you guys recommened a 3,2, or 1 part for nutrient solution. I was thinking 2 or 3 part as the 1 parts seem expensive from GH and AN. I will be starting out with FoxFarm Tiger Bloom and Grow Big the soil edition. This should be fine with DWC correct? The tiger bloom says it will work in soil and hydro and has mixing directions. However the Grow big doesn't say hydro and is a bit different from the hydro version. I think it will still work fine. What do you guys think?

60 is too cold. Turn up the temp about 20 clicks.
80 Degrees??? I dont think you would even want your temps that high during the day let alone the night. Remember your growing indoors so you have to try to replicate out door conditions but more controlled

Looking good in there bro. Looks like some nice tight node spacing on the RBC. Temps are fine, Especially for dwc you wanna try and keep those res temps in the sixties to keep the roots healthy. You should see much faster growth with DWC and finish two weeks sooner than with soil. If your going no veg sog with the dwc then you should just need the flowering nutes after they get there roots going. Definitely call your hydro store and double check about the grow big just in case. Also I would start off with low strength nutes when you start the DWC and see how they react (RBC seem to be really sensitive to too much Nitrogen) I'm only running my girls at low strength and they seem to be loving it.

Sounds good. I saw a few spider mites in my soil in one of the plants tonight when I got home. I treated them all with a high dose of azamax last time I'm going to treat so hopefully wiped them out. None were on the plants and no signs of them on leaves. Went ahead and treated the RBC and Ice too just to be prevent them from getting them. Yeah the DWC sounds nice I can't wait. Glad to know about the nitrogen sensitivity of RBC I was going to feed them with Grow Big tomorrow but think I'll wait another week and I'll mix up 1/8 or 1/4 strength of whats recommended. I fed the LA Woman ladies with 5 teaspoons of tiger bloom to 4 gallons ph'd at 6.5. Hopefully won't burn them.
