L.E.D. Grow questions

i checked out this guys stuff over on the other forum and i see him sayin he hasnt tried up agaisnt hid yet. anly other led...i didnt look at all journals, just 1. didnt seem all that impressive to me. and like i said its hard to tell from just a pic on things like quality and denseness of nuggets. and im not slamming it. it looked nice but to me looks are decieving. yes i agree they are slowely getting better but still not up to par for me and the extreme cost to buy one, the power savings would take years to make up for the losses in what the end result would be for me.

You are talking about that "Is it LED or HID" thread?

dont recal what one it was. realy dont matter its not going to convince me. no way its feasable for me to drop over $20k in just led to get the same erea covered of what i have here. would be years and years befiore it paid off for me.

20K? What are you talking about? Even the highest of the high end led's don't cost remotely close to that at all

How many of watt light HID bulbs are you running?

Idk but unless his entire house isone big grow room he wouldn't need to spendeven close to that much to get similar results with led's

my grow sizes are my bizz...no offence. i dont show all i do online.
i was going by higher end costs. about 1k or so each led set up..what ive seen anyways, so it dont take long to get to 20k. dont realy matter to nit pik on costs i still dont see anyone doing anything substantial to make me change my set up

Well yeah if you already have a massive set up there is no reason to change, but for people who are getting set up its fine. I still think the only reason to get LED instead of HID is heat and noise (LEDs produce a lot less heat than HID of = wattage, and don't require special ventilation). For someone just getting started this is great because they won't have to modify their grow space, all you do is hang up the LED and slap in an air filter somewhere and you're done. No wiring ballasts, hanging venting, running noisy exhaust fans, etc. Its a lot less work and cheaper in the long run.

Plus if you have to get everything out of there fast you don't have to worry about all that stuff, although hopefully that doesn't even have to factor into anyones equations.

well its no cost diff to change or as a new grow. they dont do discoutns for new growers, all cost the same. and theres more to ventuing than cooling lights.
wiring ballast???. i dont wire mine at all..plug n go. i dont move my stuff for anyone..im legal
