lactobacillus acidophilus anyone?

So I made some L.A.B (rice water milk process) and am curious about using in teas as well as any input on its applications.

The KNF (Korean Natural Farming) methods are centered around IMO's and fermented preps...

Interesting to say the least.

Hey herbbilly,

I made LAB using the exact method above and I include it in my teas. I haven't run any specific testing comparing teas with LAB and without, but so far my grow is the best its ever been so I can say it will definitely not hurt.

Thanks for input Rise, been reading the Rols last couple of days lotsa good info. After -20yrs pathogen free I was introduced to what I thought was PM about 4wks from chop. I'd been considering the switch to org. and decided this would be my start. After 2 more cycles countless bandaids and a $40 UVC lamp built to the $400 Cleanlights specs realised systemic was mandatory. Info particularly application for LAB is hard to find (in text). I never caught the 1:20 dilution ratio being diluted again and went overboard is an understatement. No signs of damage, ain't organics neat. It's been a couple weeks since inoculation, evidently some infected areas are losses but I'm seeing green lush rapid growth for the first time in months. Sterility let this fungus thrive, bandaids made it stronger and LAB has done very well.
This bacteria is amazing we are inoculated at birth, it feeds everything in many ways, can make silica plant soluble, creates bioethanol, vinegar, beer, sausage, cheese and basically fixes what we destroy. Hey Ali ran my first bubbly hydroponics 400w in the great state of Texas '95ISH. I'm doing a fermented blackberry juice I've got plenty and no bamboo.

'95 ish huh?

I was still in high school, then.......thought cannabis was a terrible, scary plant that was to be avoided at all costs back then. :)

I did by bamboo imo at a neighbors house. They have a bed of it over 9' tall.

I thought I was going to grow tits after a drug rally in school. They really hammer it in. Good find,I'll get around to gathering some just want to see what this thing will do,well over 14yrs old and I've burned it down to nothing twice. Anyone know how to get sample bio-mass? charts?

Btw....what are you using your fermented BB juice for? It sounds like you have jumped head first into KNO methods. :)

I don't bother with the crazy double dilution system either. I'm usually more along the lines of poring a splash of LAB or fungal culture into my water every week or so.....depending on where my pH is currently at.

Bacteria tend to lower pH and fungi tend to raise it. I know they both play a big role in the nitrogen cycle.....so I tend to use pH to measure my biomass. It would be interesting to know about easy ways to actually measure it though. Def let us know what you find.

Gibbs, auxins, cytokinins and IBM from roots and leaves. It's the hardiest, fastest growing older plant around the property. I don't know what this plant stores and uptakes from soil or what fertilizer value it might have after extracting, culturing etc. How would I find out if its high in silica like horsetail and marigolds for example. My hormone understanding is that extractions can be done easily but maintaining viability was the problem (bottle/sell/shelf).
I think you've gotta feed for activation Ali unless using a dry molasses in soil. I guess that would feed fungi too huh.

My plants being vegged right now have been given IMOs and LAB regularly, and they have been mainlined to 16 buds. They are only about 7 inches tall from the soil line to the tops and the trunks are bigger around than my thumb. I'd say this has been a success.

Maybe I am missing something but... most of the lactobacillus cultures and the ones that you make when fermenting anything, are going to be anaerobic. Aerating these will not help them multiply, but just make them food for your other microlife... I think it's a counterproductive use of your EM !

I don't use l.a.b. in my teas usually. I cultivate it on dried molasses and add it to my soil however your imo's are not all anaerobic. Sometimes I add it to my sprayer as well.

And herbbilly: I do use dried molasses in my soil, but any uncomposted goodies in the soil will feed the bacteria and fungi.

Just did my rice wash today, excited to see how this goes. So, with the final product, just add a couple tablespoons per gallon? Should i bubble it a day or 2, or just add before watering?

Hey RIU,

Just wanted to ask a couple questions about Lab cultures,

I have finished product that has been cut with molasses, and have not used it much but seem to be having some type of lockout, deficiency (mg) and wanted to know if it does clear up salt build ups would it be beneficial to use just that for a drench, to possibly clear up any excess salt build up?

--Also wanted to know if it would be effective to just use the actual rice wash once it has fermented for about a week? And I mean either in a AACT or even just a regular drench cut with water, because I have seen people using Barley which seems interesting but I can't find a source of it, although I did find some alfafa seeds that I thought about trying it with, but does the process have to be aerated or can it just sit in a mason jar with water, with a covering for insects, etc etc...

--And last question would it be effective to use the LAB culture in the process of creating homemade fish hydrolysates, instead of using a citric acid to stop the fermentation to alcohol, because I have some fish hydrolysates brewing right now but from time to time it smells really bad and I will come back even an hour later and it does not smell as bad, thought about throwing in some more of the culture but I did not want to do anything that might throw of the ph of the already fermenting hydrolysates

--And have any of you guys used dandelion fpe slurry, I made some but have yet to use it besides on the outside garden and the results even just a week later were outstanding but I was just a little skeptical to use it on a sensitive plant like Blackjack Cannabis.

Thanks for the input
happy growing

Just did my first watering wi lacto about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Was having some temp issues also and got that fixed at the same time, things have thrived a lot since my first dosage! Im sure the temp thing was a part of it also, but im already totally sold on the lacto! Smells funny of course at first, but after a few hrs, my room is lovely!

here's how I use my LAB's bubble ground fish, alfafa, whey, yucca ,flours & kelp with a food enzyme & a hefty glug of LAB for 12 hours
that will extract almost all the solids from the dry mix above 0727161515a.jpg that gets added to a tea & brewed even more with EWC
still refing the mix
not making any claims here at all just my use
