After that video went viral, the woman wad identified, and here's her telling her side of it;

She said: “I really don’t see what everyone is getting so excited about — it’s just a cat. I was walking home from work and saw this cat wander out in front of me.“I was playing with it, stroking it and listening to it purr as it stood on a garden wall. It was very friendly.“I don’t know what came over me, but I suddenly thought it would be funny to put it in the wheelie bin, which was right beside me. “I did it as a joke because I thought it would be funny. I never thought it would be trapped. I expected it to wriggle out of the bin.”

This happened a while ago. She was hung out to dry by everyone in her neighborhood and she was hounded by the people of the net. She got hers.

I could care less about what people say, 99% of the time it's excuses. I believe actions speak louder then words and body language tells a lot. She OBVIOUSLY doesn't like cats, or that cat.

sometimes I like to take pictures of my cats in the microwave. What that lady did was wrong, but like she said....it's just a cat. cats are generally assholes, I have 3 myself and I love them but that doesn't mean that I don't fuck with them from time to time. There are a lot of cats that have it a lot worse, people drown kittens all the time, what do you think happens when a farm cat has a litter and the farmer can't get rid of them...into a bucket of water they go. Again, it was fucked up to trap a cat in trash can that it obviously wouldn't be able to get out of, but the cat was unharmed, also I would bet that the cat spent a good bit of time in that bin sleeping.

I spent my summers on a hog farm. They never drowned cats. They get eaten by fox, coyote, etc. and maybe by the hogs. A barn cat lasts about 3 years, the turn over is amazing.

It doesn't matter that the kitten would be sleeping or not. She intended it great harm otherwise she would have left it alone.

Crass people mistreat and kill helpless animals.

This was completely intentional, how could she say it was a joke? She goes to the cat, looks at the trashcan, looks around to see if anyone is watching, and then throws the cat in. What a bitch. The cat wasn't even bothering her.
