Land lord checking apartment!!

never heard of any type of annual or "semi annual" inspections. I lived in an apartment complex for 5 years and never had an inspection. I also have friends who grow in apt complexes and they have never had an inspection. So I do believe there is cause for concern because this isn't normal. Something either happened in a nearby appartment, or they are inspecting out of suspicion. Like I said before, the security deposit you pay before signing a rental lease relieves the need to do any kind of regular inspection. They only look for damage when you move out and if there is, they keep your deposit. Or if someone upstairs sprung a leak and it came down into your apartment. They don't just go poking around every now and then to see if you fucked the place up.

They can though

i would listen to vallegrown good advice! exspecially with the bacon you get some good ass bacon and a smell to cover the house. when i cook bacon i cant smell anything but bacon for the rest of the day! i also live in apt with a small grow. only one plant not 4.. i wish i had 4. ive gotten many notices of them coming to do pest spray or check fire alarms or some other shit and they NEVER come for some reason. i get all prepared and shit and no one shows up... i guess its good but its annoying.
kbo is correct that is weird that they are looking for damages in the middle of lease unless maybe the owner is trying to sell it nd showing it to a buyer to inspect for damages. or he might live far away and is coming to town for those days and wants to check on things/ make sure his maintence people are doing their job. just take precaution.

i need a better picture of your aparment in my head how many floors? basement? attic? stairs? cabinets? other closets? how muck equip and what kind? size of the plants from bottom of pot to top? width of pot? the key here is too hide them in something that looks natural to environment. boxs, tubs, tote, ect. this is why i do SOG my plants are less than 2-3ft tall and 8in wide i can fit a ton in a small box or tote for my vegging plants that are only half that size. then i can dismantle every thing and bury it under stuff in storage then move the boxs under some stuff and make it smell good and fucking wait for them to come and leave. then build a temporary room then rebuild your closet. you can leave them in the tubs/ boxs for a day or 2 in the dark but longer than that they will need some light.

locking the closet door wont solve the problem like you said you have to be there and he will just ask you to open it. i grew in a gutted dryer and washing machine at one point in my life.

I have had the police standing right next to a rubbermaid hiding about 25 clones in it with some old laundry tossed over it. I gotta million.
Now these stories of how this guy got lucky once or twice, aren't going to help at all. OP this could mean losing your lease, and possible law enforcement involvment. Take action now man you won't be sorry you did.

its 4 plants bro. but i will do my time over some personal, lose a lease, whatever, fuck that land lord if he really ratted me out.... well lets just not go there.

worst case landlord finds out gives you a scolding and tells you to get rid of it(probably in front of him just beg him not to call the cops, tell him youll get rid of it and move out or whatever arrangement can be made) before he calls the police and tell you to move out. if he does call the police either A)take it like a man or B) get rid of that shit before they get there. whats the average response time like 45min?

locked cabinet will work as long as it not attached to any thing( you can probably get away with plugging it in though)

I never said they couldn't buddy. I'm saying that they wouldn't for the reason they are giving him. They would if they suspected he was growing though. DO you understand now?
I understood from the first place man. But I dont quite like the tone of your fingers...

haven't seen the obvious stated yet
if the apartment manager finds a grow, good chance you're going to be evicted
maybe worse, but most will content themselves with eviction and getting the plants out of there
if you grow in an apartment, you better be ready for an inspection, which means excellent stealth
which is not easy on short notice

Go to walmart and buy cheap wardrobe cabinet. Put your plants in there. The cabinet is not the landlords. He has no reason/business opening it. Don't put a lock on it. It will just draw attention. Not sure how many plants you have? You could even put them in cardboard boxes if money is an issue. Push up against a wall somewhere in the apartment. They can look at the apartment all they want but they do not have the right to go through your stuff. If they are checking you out for anything, it's most likely the dog.

Great idea with the bacon. Febreeze is heat score as cops know ur hiding something. Move those bitches for piece of mind then just worry about killing that smell(ozium/ona gel). At least if they are off the premises they can't find shit as long as u remove all traces of grow equipment as well. Locks attract attention and it aint worth losing ur residence. Apartments are risky but they gotta give notice so don't panic. I'd personally like to be there when they inspect as u can't trust anyone with ur personal belongings. If they ladies are gone, it's easy to stay cool. Good luck!

Best thing to do is make sure your place looks pristine. The better it looks on the surface the less likely they will really look around. A garbage bag loosely over the ladies won't hurt them for 6-8 hours and really cuts down on the smell. I had mine stuffed in the corner of the closet with a bunch of crap piled around them as the fire department came by to check my smoke alarms. I also made some soup in a crock pot that day to cover the smell, gets em out faster if they get hungry.
