Yeh could be worth while using some of that humus,mostly for water retention reasons.

But i purposely didn't to allow some annual weeds to pop up (which they have) that were in the soil just waiting for a peek of sunlight,they hopefully help break up the brown of the earth from the air.

Yea, I would agree with the mulch, but I do understand what you're going for with the weeds too.

At a point, however, those weeds will start using water/resources/space that your plants might need. Maybe you could just put a small ring of mulch around just the first 12 inches of the stem?

I mulched last year when it was in the mid to upper 90s here, and it literally saved me and my garden last year when I was away for 2 weeks, unable to tend to it. It helps.

Just a thought. Watering is obviously one of the hardest variables to control in a guerrilla grow, and anything you can do to hasten evaporation will save you and your back from bringing more water in.

I'll see what i can do about the mulch situation next time i got out,i had a couple weeks of extreme temps and the plants weren't bothered in the least luckily..

Its been quite the opposite lately,we've had around 200mm of rain in the last couple days so no water probs here! Will give the river i water from a much needed top up though......hopefully they haven't sustained too much damage,its too early into flower hopefully to have any real worries about bud rot as yet....

Just thought i'd let y'all know i haven't been out for about 3 weeks,i've wanted to but have resisted as i've had very consistent rainfall (allbeit at the wrong end of the season).

But the only thing that could be wrong with em at this point is lack of structural support,e.g. weight of water on buds/branches....................& of course mould-my biggest worry.

I will try to get out early next week,stay tuned...........u know there will be pics foe better or worse.........

Went and visited the girls and as i feared they looked a little worse for wear due to all this god damn rain! It was our wettest March in 55 years apparently,great timing!

Couple of plants needed staking badly but were all alive so thats good,couple of em showing some deficiencies/bad genetic traits.A couple of spots of mould which sucks,i pretty much need a good solid month of sunshine to get a harvest i can be happy with.

I might post some harvest pics tonight,i had to harvest early due to weather and i lost a few to mould,still worthwhile in the end i'd say......stay tuned for pics.

Ripped!........By me hehe.

So due to persistent rain and wind i had to chop early,i lost a few to mould so only really got to harvest 2 plants,plus 2 the 2 small plants.They really could have used about another month out there but didnt want to risk more mould.

Haven't weighed up yet as im still trimming and drying,reming me never to let it dry before trimming again,what a pain in the ass!

Man i cant wait for September again,goin bigger and better!!

Hey man, you got weed! That's a good feeling...even if it you feel you did harvest a bit early.

I hear ya about not trimming buds and letting them dry...and then trying to trim. It's a bitch, but you know, if you don't do a perfect job trimming, and you're not selling the buds, it's not the end of the world.

Still a lotta good trichomes on those leaves close to the buds.

Also like that you didn't just cut the plants down, but instead just clipped the buds. I'm gonna do the same thing with my two Querkles when they're done in a few more weeks.

Now you gotta hurry up and wait for the buds to dry/cure...hehe.

Looking forward to reading how they smoke in the future!

That rack of buds looks very nice, shame you lost some to mould though.
