They went in the water on Monday. Tuesday, 3/10 DGOG, and 2/5 Danny OG had popped. All then went between plates in wet paper towels. Now 6/10 DGOG, and 3/5 Danny's are popped.
I've been growing a long time, but adhered strictly to clones. This is only my second time popping beans. First was very successful. All had popped within 48 hours. Too late to "shave" the "unpopped" a bit?

well you shouldnt have any prob with growing those DGOG from beans, they are a very strong & non finicky type, they dont need any support as the stem & branch structure are stout, go through a hurricane those babies lol, good fortune with your quest bro! just wait until they bud up & the frost appears at an exponential rate...marvellous! shave the unpopped? do you mean scuff them? all mine germed with no issue, ive never scuffed beans that are damp before?@greencropper It's already going down.

understandable what you say man but 100% of what HT quotes are not inaccurate?...they get it right on occasion, but most is yeah sponsored non truth

@greencropper Thanks for the info. How long does it usually take to pop a bean. They got a 24hr soak in the shot glasses and have been in damp paper towels (between plates) since Tuesday. Again, only my second time popping beans. 1'st round started out as an "experiment" and turned into a larger bean expedition. I started with 2 beans I found after a trim/cleanup last year, the sole bean found in my first GG4 run, and 3 Cherry LimexLemon Alien freebies. When my sister in law heard about it, she brought me 20 beans she got from a club 1/8 of Animal Cookies. All beans, but 1 CLxLA, popped in the shotties within 24hours.
I'm wondering how long you wait before throwing in the towel (although, I don't want to do that to any of them)? Was hoping it would be as fast/easy/successful as my first "experiment".
*Edit* One more thing, are these DGOG pretty uniform, or am I pheno hunting for a "needle in a hay stack"?

I think id at least give it till the weekend before you go throwin em out. I like to go straight from the 24hr soak into a small pot of medium and that usually takes anywhere from 3-5 days or so. I've heard of skuffing the outsides of thicker seeds to encourage them to break through.

I had a green crack from HSO take almost a week to finally crack.
I skip the shot glass. I just go straight into WET paper towels inside a sealed ziploc. I had 10/11 pop from all different breeders and all different strains that way.

i just pop them straight into jiffy pellets & keep them moist & warm, i plant them about 1/4-1/3 inch into the jiffy, they usually take 2-5 days to sprout, though sometimes up to 10 days, i give up after 10 days, the 1 male i had from 5 beans was sterile, the pheno's are all very similar really...very uniform, i only noticed a difference in colour between them, some more purplish hues than others, looks great when the buds are cured, true dank for sure!

Does yours kind of smell like rubber? Such an interesting smell/taste to this stuff. Kind of like molasses, blueberries, and acrylic fixative. Super badass rosin producer too. I'd tell everyone to hunt a few packs, this is definitely one of my workhorse cuts. Love the knobbly bubba look to her.

CBDGOG .... smells like Blueberry with a sweet undertone.....day #4 of drying/curing.
She's due for another trim, sorry aboot the shitty quality of light/pic, but you get the gist.

Alien Blues is the best smoke I've grown so far smells and taste like blueberries....very tasty and i just want to keep opening the jar and smelling it...The high is very relaxing makes my eyes feel heavy also great for pain and insomnia...I'm defiantly going to keep her around for a bit
