Laserbrn - DP White Widow

For sure...the products that were out a couple of years ago...UFO's and such are now cheap enough, but they still don't work, never did. Now they have products that actually work and we just need a couple of years to zip by so everybody and their brother is making these and whoring them out on ebay. That's the future of LED, it's not pretty for those who think it's going to make them filthy rich forever and ever. It's the next whored out chinamen product on the list.

We are at 40 days of 12/12 now....

Things seem to be moving along famously. I'm actually not terribly unhappy with this grow seeing as how it's all from seed. There's one plant in there that's pheno's is completely worthless (at least it appears so at this point), but overall they are pretty good.

I haven't seen any nanners all week so hopefully that will remain supressed over the next 20 or so days while we wait for these to finish up.

Thanks. They look pretty promising. I am actually pretty excited to get this one finished. I have been buying for too long now and I actually look forward to going back home to hydro. I am in the market for a taller tent. I'm going to make this my veg tent and I have to find something taller, and maybe 5x5 to use for flower. A larger light hood, bigger tent and a seperate veg area, that's all I need to get by...please santa, lol.

While this kind of growing is fun, I feel like my efficiency is near the floor. I need to pack this tent full of fat ladies like I've done in the past. Next year will definitely go differently. This year I just don't know what to do for the next batch. Buy clones from the dispensary (historically been a terrible option)? Order some new seeds and get to veggin' as soon as possible? Reveg the solid plant in the back, take clones and grow a batch from the clones? I figure that will take 2 months, but so will starting from seeds realistically and with this I know what I am getting.

nice lookin colas! i see that bunk girl in the back lmao. if you have a dispensary you can trust, that would obviously be the most efficient choice. but if you reveg or go from seed, like you said, you're looking at a fat break in harvest. just the reveg will be much cheaper and you know it's a good pheno.

I don't think I've ever heard that reference. I've got some 'bats'? What's that mean?

Some of them look smaller than others, but it's really becuase 3 or 4 of them were LSTed and one was topped early on. I hated having to do it, but their side growth is obviously now more aggressive than their top colas so they look puny compared to the beasts growing straight up.

The one that was topped is the weakest looking plant of all the lot. Just a strange, worthless type of pheno.

Part of me thinks I just should just cut off a clone or two now from the big beastie in the back and get it strated rooting. I'd bet it starts rooting/revegging a week or so after harvest and I wouldn't be in terrible shape to get it grown out and take clones from it. Might save me a little time compared to revegging the whole thing. I don't have to wait another 20-25 days for it to finish up.

Hmm like the colas resemble baseball bats mate, say you could take the bunk pheno and wack any unruly family members over the holiday season

Take this advice lsr, you can cut and root a clone from a plant in any stage of flower, period.

Oh I'm aware that it works. It just takes a long time. The rooting is slow and then it has to reveg, but like I said, saves me waiting the 20-25 days to try to reveg that one. I it would be ready to give me clones hopefully about 2 months from now, maybe a little longer and that woudl be fine. I can clear out that room and acquire all my equipment while it's getting going. More and more, that sounds like the answer right there doesn't it?

I get the bat reference now. When I read that the first time my mind got stuck on winged rodents, lol. I just couldn't understand how the hell it looks like a bat. Shit, made my day.

The NBA is back and I'm gonna get down on some bomb ass food and watch, so I hope you're all feeling good and enjoying good times too.

Those are some good lookin' nugs there my friend. I like DP White Widow, but after having grown plenty of freakin' seeds now I can say that it has the potential for some less than amazing pheno's and some that are just flat out RIDICULOUS so while I'd say it's pretty stable, there's still a reasonably large variation. Some will pop out buds that look like Cinnamon Sticks and other's that will have turkey legs. Like County fair style turkey legs if you give them enough light. I have a picture of one next to a 5 gallon water jug, it's stupidity. The cinammon stick pheno though is always really tasty and FROSTY as balls, it's just the yield is utterly pathetic. I only got 1 of those this time out of 8, I think last time I had 2, so it's not predominant. I usually pop 10 seeds and have done it multiple times, I'd say that I see all my old friends quite often, lol.

My plan is to build a veg tent and I'll get another 10 beans and I'll do it properly next year and hopefully I can get the turkey leg pheno (I don't have it here, or I LSTed one that had it and it's hard to see the true style it posses). One grow I did was a tent full of them and I still see it when I close my eyes and go to sleep at night.

As far as the smoke...it's strong like a bull. That's about all I can say about it. It fits in here in So Cal just fine. Taste is good, but BEST on that damn cinammon stick pheno. Unfortunately you never know which one it's going to be at the onset because like other cuts that are like it, it would like respons well to topping, lst, etc as it does not like growing fat ass buds.

haha, I'm guilty of that myself. The lighter/beer can/medicine bottle snapshots make a really good comparison. When we get excited about how huge our buds are we feel like photos do them no justice without a comparison object Those colas are MASSIVE man!

Getting close to chop time, no?

Getting aweful close. I am just too run down to do it tonight, although that was my original intention. The nanners are annoying me now, I'm ready for it to be done. This isn't really a fast flowering strain so this is definitely on the early side. I'd say this at least a week early, possibly 2, but with the nanners I'd like to move on to the next project. I am going to use this tent as my veg tent in the future. The zippers are getting fucked up and it's just been abused for years. The light seal is getting harder to achieve and I'd just rather move it down the line.

So today I picked up a second tent to use as my future flower tent, but I don't need to set it up yet. I need to end this grow, order some beans and get to veggin'. I have another batch of these feminized seeds that I can use and I may just do that as I do love this strain. The only concern is the nanners although this roudn was only 3 out of 8 that did it and only one of them was crazy with it. I could just get these next ones going and search the next batch for a good mother, keeping clones from each before flower (now that I'll have the second tent).

I also picked up the tray and reservoir that I'm to need to switch back to hydro. I got rid of my old trays and reservoirs/etc after my last hydro grow a couple of years ago. It was more hassle to store it than it was worth. A friend of mine paid me for them, so I said fuck it.

I think tomorrow I'll go ahead and chop down the plants. I'll germinate my seeds sometime mid next week as these are getting a little closer to the end of the drying part.
