last 2 weeks of flower...

Have you guys ever heard of this for the last 2 weeks of flower.

Try to turn the lights off altogether the final 2 weeks of the flowering cycle- or at least down to 8 hours. This keeps the flowers from re-growth and stresses the plant into giving up its last drop of goodness as crystal to protect the flower! The buds have so much THC on them that it is hard to see them at all.

Not that I have any clue but the logic behind this just doesn't jive...well at least if you remove the light source completely that is. I would think no light no life...but I know nothing.

that sounds pretty crazy no lights for 2 weeks. ive heard of people doing 24-48 hours some 72 but not much more than that. but im still a newbie and that what ive read through forums im still on my first grow myself.

im still researching this but i did stumble upon something interesting. it seems its originally only advised with white widow by 1 breeder and it spread from there sort of. also alot of people debate if the original was the 2 weeks part actually a typo and it should of been 2 days.

It's suggested to flower (12 hour light) this marijuana variety for 8 weeks, but 10 weeks will really give her the crystals you are after. 8 hours on 16 off might be okay... but... not too sure that is okay for the plants at all to go in complete darkness for 2 weeks straight... you go ahead and try that... but i wouldnt advise it...

I've also heard some white strains like the two day dark treatment. Someone asked about this before and I volunteered to leave one of my girls ready for harvest in the dark for a couple days. Really didn't notice any big difference. I guess it's who you ask. Two weeks does sound way too long though.

So basically sounds like its the white widow strain only that this. recommended for. I questioned this cause wouldn't the plant just die without light that long...or maybe that's the point... Kinda of a way to have the plant harvest it self.

reducing the light cycle to 8 hours can also increase chances of your plants herming,so be careful.
