Late Flower and she is not doing well - What am i missing ?

I am growing two girls side by side in a 2x2 with a Mars Hydro TS1000 LED.

One of my girls (Auto Gorilla Glue by Fast buds) is going amazingly well (pic 1 on the left) her step sister on the other hand (Auto Northern Lights Royal Queen Seeds) is appearing to suffer from what looks like a serious nutrient deficiency. We are at about day 56 from seed and this problem has happened on and off since the beginning, however now it has become more acute, and clearly seems to be effecting bud growth .

I have pretty much kept the same feeding schedule and variables for both plants, except the Gorrilla Glue is needing more water.

Here are all the issues i thought it could be and have tested for :

Nutrients : Half dose every water, i ended up burning her a little but dialled back since last water.
Cal Mag - 0.25ml per water
PH : .Ph is around 6.8
Temperature : constant 77f
Light Distance : 45cm, was a bit closer but i moved it back just in cae
Humidity : 35-50%

I just cant work out why she is being like this. Could it just be genetic bad luck or is it always the growers fault?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I am using regular tap water, (medium hard). I am also adding Calmag each watering. Ph is around 6.8, so it shouldn't be causing lock outs.

To say that it's calcium def when the grower says they give nutrient and calmag is pretty silly. What you have there is over fert. You keep giving fert with every water, or at least you used to and it's been killing then plants. What soil are you growing in? If it has fert already, then you're pouring gas on the fire.

This. However: "Excess calcium blocks the absorption of other macro and micronutrients, ... ". Dial it down a bit, or flush, and see if she improves.

I've been experiencing lockout and buildups always during mid or late flowering even when feeding bellow schedule. Now i drain to waste, i dump about 20% of runoff every time and i rarely see any dead leaf.

Thanks for all your help. It has been very helpful hearing you all. From what i gather the problem is either a) too much fert (particularly nitrogen) b) calmag deficiency

The weird thing is up until around around day 30 i barely used any ferts as she was looking healthy. Then all of sudden this started coming in, so i thought it was time to start adding fert. At first the problem seemed to get better but then it kept only coming back in waves.

Also, her first fan leaves seemed to have this problem when she was a wee seedling.

At this point i am gonna flush her and just let her finish off as is. Do you think i should take the leafs off ?

Also, how possible is this just bad genetic luck or has it been my error? Reason is i just cant work out what i did wrong, which makes me concerned for next time

What nutrient are you growing? What size are the pots, and are they full of soil?

What's your soil ph? It may be a problem right out of the gate. What soil or media did you use and amendments if any?

If you eliminate other possible causes it could be a case of septoria. I have seen it present like that with darker brown spots.

That's the least likely cause of his problem,septoria is the disease of the year!It seems to be blamed for every plant issue,get over it.

Soil PH is 6.8.

Growing in 3 gallon buckets, filled pretty much to about an inch bellow the top.

I am using Hesi nutrients.


Honestly, when I look at her now it makes me so sad. Should I trim all the yellow leaves off ?
