I have this problem, too.. I'm always up at crazy hours and I wish I had a normal schedule, but I'm so used to this sleeping pattern. When I try to go to sleep earlier, I end up just laying in bed for hours til my usual time. Smoking helps me fall asleep faster (sometimes), but it still never puts me to bed early enough.

if your trying to change your schedule, I found that instead of trying to sleep earlier, just go to bed your normal late time, and wake up very early, even if you've gotten like just 3 hours of sleep, just force yourself to wake up, then the same night you'll be super tired and go to sleep earlier and your schedule may change..and become less nocturnal, still sometimes it doesnt work and you just fall back into the same pattern. Its really hard to change your sleep period.

I also find if you don't have really anything to do you can also just keep on staying up later then you should wake up later, and really if you do it for like a week you can get back on track with everyone else, I got put on sleeping pills as a kid, and I still have to use them to fall asleep so don't get on pills unless you have to

Oh, i have tried that several times and it just doesn't work for me. Even if i wake up super early and sleep only 3-4 hours, I still manage to stay up late that night not being able to sleep til close to morning. I've tried lots of things and I'm never succesful at fixing my sleep schedule. Theres been times where it improved for a few days, then its like I relapse back into my old schedule. I've done a lot of reading and I recently found something that I believe is what my problem is.....

my boy was murdered about 3 months ago, ever since then my sleep hasnt been the same.
these fools tried to break into my laundry room just now to steal some clothes i had in the dryer.
i went out there with my dog and some knuckles, but it didnt come down to that.
i told them just to leave so nothing bad happens.
now my adrenaline has me all pumped up.

this is the hood right here lol
