Late / small buds?

image.jpg image.jpg This is my second grow. After reviewing photos I took from my first grow 2 years ago, I seem to be at least 10-14 days behind where I was back in 2012. The buds are much smaller.

We have had a cool dry summer. Here in CT, today is the first day in the upper 80's in 5-6 weeks.

Has the cool weather slowed my girls down or am I simply impatient?

I would love to hear from fellow New Englanders and see photos

They look fine to me. Probably two weeks into flowering or so.

Is this a different strain than you grew in 2012? That could be the difference. I have several plants that I've harvested already and some that are only a month in. Could depend on pheno types too...

Yeah mine are just starting to flower now and I'm in Ontario Canada. The preflowering is staring to pick up and the buds should be starting anytime. I fed 2 days ago and used one last dose of Veg, I was planning to feed bloom but they hadn't really started making true flowers yet so I went with what I have always done and fed Veg nutes until flower. Do you think I should revise my plan, and feed bloom even if the true flowers haven't started yet?

Looking good man, a little bit ahead of mine and I've been a little concerned with them finishing in time. However for the last two years I find they have been later and later each year, but still finishing nice by October 12 but that's usually after bearing atleast 2 or 3 good frosts. The last frost I had in 2012 I litteraly blew the snow/frost off of them in the morning, they dried out good though. So try not to worry I think your right on track.

I'm in central CT and that's about where mine are too. 2 bag seed plants that came up female, and 2 feminized; a Russian Rocket Fuel and a Sour Blueberry. I'm hoping at least another 30 days of grow or more...

When do you switch to flowering nutes, when actual flowers appear on the tops? or during preflower? I've been waiting until flowers form on the tops.

Yeah Good Call, I had a feeling I should have but they were just starting to preflower. Do you think I could feed both in the same watering, or will that interfere with eachother (veg and bloom together).
