Late week 5 Early week 6 Flowering

Almost time to harvest and know that yellowing leaves are to be expected, but is it too early for that to be happening? The buds look real good and the branches are starting to collapse cause of the weight I think. 3 of the plants have a flowering time of 8 - 9 weeks, one is 9 - 12 weeks (2nd picture), but that one doesn't show much yellowing.

Many of my plants may turn a purple hue on the foliage near harvest but the yellowing isn't normal. Are you feeding them enough? You'd be surprised how much they will eat in week 5-6. I've yet to find a plant that is ready to chop within less than 60 days from flip to 12/12.

Easy for pH and buildup in this stage of their life, are they getting a good amount of runoff each watering What's your feed pH? What are they grown in? Soil, coco, adding nutrients to water? etc.. More info is needed.

I am feeding every watering with Jacks Part A 4g per gallon, Part B 2.4g per gallon and Silica Blast 4ml per gallon. I am also growing in Promix this grow. I pH to 5.9 - 6.0 and make sure I get plenty of run off. My ppm reservoir is around what the feeding chart I found online says (990 - 1010). The pictures from where I got my seeds from had purple in the buds, but I don't se any at this moment.

Thank you for the reply! Figured I had more time to go. I am worried they are yellowing too early
Yes, keep going but they are yellowing a little early, but they should be fine. I just went thru this with one plant yellowing a little earlier than the others, it was larger and needed more fertilizer. Try bumping the PPM up to 1200. If you are in soil, the ph should be 6.4 - 6.8.

When you say PPM reservoir, are you re-using the runoff water? I mix my fertilizer with water right before I water, don't let it sit, the ph will rise.

No I have a 15 gallon trash can that I use to store my water. Have air stones and a wave maker in it as well. Then I ph when I use my pitcher to water. And to bump up the ppm should I use more Jacks Part A or B or even more of both? Appreciate all the help!

Edit - Reading the bags Part B does say Cal - Nitrate on it and I'm thinking yellowing leaves are a Nitrogen problem so I'll add more of that

Those leaves look pretty dark man and you can see the tips are burning on some of the leaves. I wouldnt do more nitrogen. If anything you're giving too much of something from what I see. I would add some calcium/magnesium in that mix. Maybe just do water no nutes for a couple feedings while adding a little cal/mag. Overall the plant doesnt look bad. Also its definitely not too early in week 5/6 for the leaves to start fading, thats the energy for their bud growth.

Appreciate the advice! I bought some cal - mag and added 5ml per gallon to it. It’s brought my PPM up to 1250. I’d say majority of leaves are yellow now and look real crispy

I ran Jacks RO formula "1 part" but it actually lacks Sulfur & Magnesium so you still needed to use 1 gram of epsom salts per/gallon of water.

If your using Part A & Part B I'm pretty sure that's their "3-2-1 formula" which stands for 3 grams A, 2 grams B, 1 gram epsom salts. So you might wanna add epsom salts @ 1 gram per gallon.

ProMix tends to acidify, especially with regular runoff as the lime washes out, I would do a slurry test (mix 1 part soil to 1 part water, stir, wait 20 mins then pH it) I bet your soil itself is lower pH than your feeding, say it reads 5.0 pH you would want to feed a 7.0 pH until your slurry reads 6.0 if that's your target.

I'm actually switching back to coco/perlite with maxibloom because I'm realizing promix acidifies a lot and I'm having to play pH games on an every other day basis, also, promix holds water a lot more than coco so its harder to flush out issues with new solution, instead you have to wait for drybacks or you risk root rot/"overwatering".

Here is says 3.6 grams part A, 2.4g part B, 1.1 g Epsom Salts

Then their feed chart says this: I know they are giving basic guidelines but like goddamn pick a number. Is it 3-2-1 or 3.8-2.5-0.99 or is it 3.6-2.4-1.1? That type shit will make me not use a product line.

I used to run jacks before switching to MaxiBloom 1 part, Jacks ia. 3-2-1 your supposed to use 3 grams A, 2 grams B, 1 gram Epsom Salts. Your probably lacking Magnesium and Sulfur because I do not believe Jacks A or B has sulfur in it. I know when I ran their 1 part RO formula it had literally no sulfur and barely any magnesium, I had to use 1 gram per gallon of epsom salts every single feeding. So much for a 1 part eh?

I use ProMix HP another problem with promix is your rootzone can become acidic due to runoff when feeding with salt based fertilizers, the rootzone can easily become acidic from the lime washing out and also the shit tends to hold nutrients more than I've experienced in Coco, even when allowing a lot of runoff. I'm actually switching back to coco/perlite after this run because I've been playing too many games with pH in Promix and i don't like that I can only feed them every 2 days due to how slow they dry back.

I would feed with a 6.2 pH for a few feedings and see how they respond, I was feeding @ 6.0 and noticed with a slurry test (1 part soil to 1 part water) my actual pH in the rootzone was like 5.0-5.2 causing lime green growth. Quickly resolved with a good dose of epsom and jumped my pH up to 6.2 (use more silica).
Wow thank you for all that info! I decided I am gonna switch to Fox Farm Coco Loco with some perlite for my medium next grow. I should start testing my runoff to get a more accurate reading. I haven't done that cause I usually let the runoff sit in the dish (the plants are not sitting at the bottom) and it evaporates in about 2 days and that's when I usually water again. I did bump my pH up to 6.5 since the last time I was on here and also bought Cal - Mag (5 ml per gallon). Now my PPM is around 1250-1280. Not sure if I'll see a change or if I am too late cause I'm close to hitting week 7 of flower.

You can still see some change in week 7 of flower, I would avoid FoxFarms coco, look into Mother Earth or Canna coco. Fox Farms coco is not good quality in my experience, I used their discounted shit from growgreenmi and it was hella inconsistent coco:perlite ratios and one of the bags stank like bacteria.

I personally only use Mother Earth and if I can't find that then I grab Canna or CYCO coco. Plantronix is good if your ok with expanding blocks of coco yourself. Just put the blocks into a heavy duty storage tote and fill with 1 gallon of boiling water per 650 gram brick and put the lid on, come back in a few hours and it should be perfect and ready to go into pots, you can add perlite if you want too, just add it to your liking before mixing into the pots. Perlite is not needed in coco though, all it does is increase drainage speed and quite honestly helps equalize moisture throughout the pot where a lot of people think it actually dries out faster.

These appear to be yellowing from the top down, that's not a lack of nitrogen. A lack of nitrogen would be yellow leaves from the bottom up (leaves on the bottom get yellow first). This may be due to ph lockout.

Maybe this chart will help you, sometimes the difference between deficiency and excess looks similar.

Appreciate the chart! I'm thinking it's either nute burn or a potassium thing. They look so similiar I cant really tell. I've noticed burnt tips before like is -

But then they start to look like this and from what I can see online it's a potassium deficiency -

To me they look like the same thing lol. I'm almost in week 7 in flower so I think I'll just give them just plain pH'd water and hopefully I didn't mess up my grow.

It's hard to tell, I had the same issue recently with 1 large plant in a 5 gallon pot looked just like yours after 7 weeks, had another plant in 3 gallon pot stayed green until I cut the fertilizer in week 9, it pretty quickly looked exactly like the other plant did 2 weeks earlier. My conclusion was the 5 gallon plant was lacking enough fertilizer in week 7, I should've increased the PPM which was around 1,000. The end result was the 5 gallon plant finished out much better than the smaller 3 gallon plant, the smaller plant looked better (greener) for the entire grow cycle but is not as strong and also produced smaller colas. You might be surprised with a great result, stay optimistic.

This was day 33 (end of week 5):

I think this is a result of too much dry back/poor watering habits mixed with too low PH going in (5.9-6.0). I doubt you will see much if any improvement but hopefully you can limp across the finish line with something to harvest. Below shows at what ph the different nutrients are absorbed

the way to differentiate the two is tip burn is just the tip (giggity), potassium goes from tip up the leaf and has a light green/yellow area between the burn and the green.
