Its weird how I know a lot about the laws of a lot of states in the US but i hardly know anything about the laws in Canada even though I live in Canada.

when i was in school it was mandatory to take french for 7 years, the whole country gotta learn french cause of one stupid province that the rest of canada hates. I don't think i passed one french test in school lol

I live in Alberta and as far as I know you can carry up to an ounce and just receive a fine with out going to court it's 115$ and for growing as long as it's under five plants and are not flowering they will take them and destroy your plants and y will receive a warning and be threatened with being put undersurvalince If you continue haha fucken jokers.

Laws for growing or simple possession ? Doobius is correct. It pretty much depends on who is doing the policing. It also depends on the legal/political climate where you live.

well we got pulled over at a check point a few months ago right after we all smoked a bunch of weed and the cop said he knew he the driver was stoned but let us go lol, he was just concerned about drunk drivers

When the system is designed to enslave people, teaching them their rights is counter productive.
The laws on pot in Canada are nuts. Now with mandatory minimums and a maximum of life in jail (totally up to the descretion of the judge, fortunately our judges aren't insane so they rarely give life sentences even though it is fully possible).

not even Health Canada know the laws so how are we supposed to? when that HC witness was on the stand, she said that HC doesn't regulate how you use your dried product but the exact case for concentrates & extracts was a few weeks after she said that.

My favourite Canada pot cop story:
A friend moves from an English speaking European country to Canada. His employer helps him get a place to live with a few other guys that work in the same place, all going well for couple of months, plenty of smoking, couple of medium sessions but no major partying.
Come home after work and sit down at the kitchen table to have a beer and a few joints and a knock at the door, city cops push in with guns out "everyone stay where you are" etc. run around for no more than 5 minutes and the lead cop comes in to the kitchen his first stunning question "I take it you boys have nothing to do with crack?", "What" my friend replies "No! Never!"
Turns out the cops had been informed by a neighbour they were cooking crack.
One of the cops asks the senior cop if he wants them to take the weed he says "no point" turns to my friend and says "be grateful we're not the mounties, they're the real dicks!"

Anyone have any thoughts on how the conservatives getting shalaked in Alberta is likely to play out? Is this a sign that Canada may change direction during the Oct.19 general election?
