Layering???

Please boys n gals HELP I have made the move to grain also liquid culture ( so much faster ) so I'm sat here with a kilo of fully colonised grain,brand new teranium n a bag of vermiculite STOP I CANNOT GO ANY FURTHER as I can't finger info on layering ,I need pictures just to let me see,then I've read cubes don't need it so do I leave the top of the grain slab clear or cover it in soaked vermiculite if so how thick? Some one out there please help??? Ps the post just came n it's 3 x 15g Hollandia truffles if ya in the uk they send them to ya legal TRUFFFLE MAGIC if you can't get on there site contact them I ordered Tuesday n got them today(Thursday ) The Hollandia is the strongest n they are doing 3 for the price off two €30 a bit steep but go halfs for a mate 22g is what I take is heavy so colourfull n no comedown that's a heavy trip but 15 g the portain weight is enuff they have a truffle for every one it depends on wot sort of trip you want PLS HELP WITHLAYERING peace.

Only noobs fruit grain. Real men spawn to compost. And you don't need to layer compost.

Layering is the lay way of casing. You don't want to layer if you want the full potential of your substrate, you want to case. Kervork is right in one sense, real men use bulk substrates (I like straw), but even though you don't NEED to case compost, you should, as you should case straw or any other substrate, even your colonized grain.

Boys layering casing? Wot the difference.pls mentor me?my set up is a teranium upside down I put my fully collon grain in a 6x9" half inch slab a mound of verm each end to hold water n a thin layer over the grain.are cubes ok on straw?just a thort.each time I take the lid off to spraying wave the co2 away .i have a reptile pad to feel the temp right n average97% humidity ?lads this is only my second grow 1st was pk tek which I got 3 good flusees but 2nd the dreaded penacilin got into week old birthed cakes.also you pros slag pk tek to the max so I have liquid mycelium n I take some grain to start my next batch each time as I made a glove box pls help your British friend smudge
