leaching vs flushing - what's the diff?

Flushing is a shit load of water at once
Leaching is watering regularly with no additives for a week or 2
As far as I know

thanks for the reply j - thats sorta what i was figuring but i just see people referring to what i think is leaching as flushing. even my grow calendar calls for a last week of 'flush'. i figured this meant water with the usual amount just sans nutes but now that i've been introduced to the term "leach" im not so sure.

last week of flush in flowerin? if so its probably referring to watering with just plain water.

The words mean different things to me, flushing refers to getting rid off, leaching means leaking from.

When we say I flushed my plants we know you ran lots of water through it. If you said you were leaching your plants I would think small, small run off almost like the pot was leaking.
