leaf burn from CFLsi

I got some leaf burn from my light. the leaves feel a bit dry and crispy on one of my plants, but its still green. I adjusted the height of the light(even though I thought 2 inches would be fine) they are 75watt CFL spirals. it was my second day of running 20 hours. is there a way I can counteract the burn??? I raised the light another inch. should I go higher?

You say you added nutes, but don't tell how old the plant is.
IME, it's hard to get burn from CFL's.
Pics would really make it easier for us to help you.
 
don't think theres any major damage lol...it will be ok giving small doses of nutes but not too much ,you ve put your light a little higher ,just have to wait and see ...lolill take a photo of one I burnt the other day on a 250 w clf .....said to missus check that plant is it ok .....it was touching dunno how long 1 or 2 days lol ...ill post pic later after ive sorted them out.....just keep trying:)
 
Well the box says one cup per plant, per feeding. I do 1/3 of a cup per plant. I've killed plants before with nutrients , so I'm more cautious now lol.
 
I keep my CFLs almost touching my plants and never have an issue. I do have a fan blowing across the plant tops though. Raising them 2 to 3 inches wont hurt. Looks like nutrient burn to me though. What kind of fert are you using that calls for one cup per plant? That seems to be a lot for a baby. Many other factors should come into play. Age of plant, pot size, grow medium. Some potting mix comes with fert added.
 
Wow what nutrients is 1 CUP per plant?
I would say that is your problem.

My nutrients are like 1 TABLESPOON per gallon.
 
1 tbsp per gallon of water, 1 cup of mixed nutrients per plant. Like i.said I gave them 1/3 of a cup for feeding. I should clarified

Now that makes more sense. You used 1 tbsp in a gallon of water, then poured that into 1 cup and then only watered 1/3 of a cup...

Ok, with MJ you want to let it dry out (feels light) then water thoroughly until you have water coming out of your drain holes at the bottom. Then you wait to water again when your pot feels light again.
