leaf damage, looks like its been eaten

does anyone know what is causing this leaf damage? damage is in center of pic.

Looks like physical damage to me. form an insect or maybe you dropped something and it tore the leaves?

thanks for the reply. there hasnt been anything dropped on it. i was thinking it looked like insect damage. what is a good way to ward off pest?

it also looks like a rip or tair to me to, specaly if its in that one spot, and u dont see any bugs, and also ur plant looks like it has som eheat stress the leaves are startin to taco fold

They make a sonic pest control, that just plugs in and omits a frequency that apparently wards off bugs of all sorts.

thank you for yuor reply. there are a couple of areas with the same damage. i am so careful not to rip or tear anything too. maybe not as careful as i thought.
i am in australia and we are having another heat wave. the last 2 days were 35 and 38 degrees celsius. today it is 39 degrees celsius. the temps have crept up a bit but it hasnt gotten over 32 in the tent. there is a cool change on its way so heat wont be an issue soon.
