???? leaf just turned brown in a few hours? any ideas?

well I went in and changed out the res in the affected plant. once I got the bucket out there appeared to be some kind of sediment of something laying in the water. certainly nothing I put in there, so I washed out the bucket with a very mild bleach solution and refilled her with a total ppm of 1040. I have ionic grow, rootbastic and liquid silicon in there so il keep watchful eye for burning and see does it stop the discoloration spreading. res temp is at 54f atm I use bottles to keep it as low as I can and is ph 5.8, room temp is 75 with RH 45% theres a steady intake of fresh air, conditions are acceptable I think so il keep yous updated. thanks

The sediment you're seeing is white, right? It is calcium phosphate (bone meal). Sometimes when calcium and/or phosphate levels are too high, and/or the pH is high when nutrients are mixed in hard water, calcium will precipitate out of the solution with the phosphates and float to the bottom as calcium phosphate (solid). It's what causes the drastic pH and ppm swings in a lot of people's grow.

Ionic grow looks like a good mix. I've used their boost product in the past for PK.

seemed more like a greyish color and had a lint like appearance? I did a few grows about 4 years ago in NFT using ionic, never had any problems with any of them, seem to have had a couple already with this one in only a few weeks :/

anyone know if heat stress can cause problems like this, a friend of mine thinks it could be heat stress, im not so sure, but I have had them on 24/7 since the start with temps always above 75, some highs of over 80?

Lots of people freak out over heat issues, but unless it's above 100F, it's not going to be a disaster. Maybe sub-optimal, but that's about it. Mary jane loves 80F. It's usually something else they're blaming heat for.

problem still seems to be getting worse, really not sure whats going on, its the biggest plant, seems to be the most tolerant to higher nutes, first to preflower, but seems to be slowly dieing :/ confused.com

I don't even see a point to keeping the ppm low when they're babies other than saving money on nutrients or to learn which ppm is the best. Nobody goes and takes all the nutrients out of soil before planting a seed when doing it the natural way.
You're right I'm just chicken...they get 10 days half strength bloom then half strength 3x16; then full 3x16 then I keep upping it till they burn, then back off and watch em explode. Always wanted to do full dose from the git but I am just plain chicken lol

They are all from seed. from what I can tell the problem has slowed down. I havnt got a good camera until the mrs gets home later but ill post some pics of how it looks now tonight. im starting to think the plant in question may be lacking a bit in (Mg) based of the guide in the forum. the pics I posted up arn't really showing the faded green between the veins. but there is some all over the plant. yesterday I upped the ppm to 1000 and the plant seems to be happy enough with that, been 24hrs now and no signs of burn, the plant is plenty green in general but with the fading and leafs browning, after knocking the lights back to 18/6 I think all the plants seem to be a bit more spritely, less tired looking. so il get more pics up tonight hopfuly showing yous something that can stop this progressing any further. peace :peace:

here's some more pics, the original dieing parts have been removed so all the spotting and stuff has developed since then. the lighter green patches have been there for quite a while now, though I never really worried that it was a problem before. seems strange how its in isolated pockets to me, are you getting nute splash on those leaves ? As far as your maybe Mg def do your nutes let you increase just the Mg as throwing higher overall ppms could make things worse if its a lockout issue. Im in "wishy washy" soil lol but the chemistry remains the same.

No splash on her, the patches are on all the leafs, more noticeably on the older leafs. but they are on the newer ones as well. im using ionic 1 part solution with liquid silicon and a root promoter called rootbastic. something I think is a little strange though maybe its not is the plants have just finished their second week of veg today. this plant has had pre flowers for about the last 3 days? none of the others are showing any signs of preflowers yet. none of the grows I done a few years back pre flowered so early? changing out the res seemed to slow down the leafs browning and dyeing, weather or not that had anything to do with the ppm I really don't know, i'l not be switching to 12/12 for another two weeks yet so i'm still very much open to suggestions on how to get her to 100% before the switch. there some pretty nice looking buds you have going there :peace:

idk I have not exp with those nutes or dwc just hempy pots....you said changing the res seemed to help maybe do that daily maybe flush with plain water thats all I got...watching now good luck!

bro i don't envy you trying to get that nute balance right hydro works spectacularly when its tuned. for your pre flowering if your seeds auto not much you can do to hold off flowering that i know maybe only increase light hours but your 24/7 already. Oh and if they're not autos they're crazy lol

four feminized seeds, deffo not autos, unless one slipped through at the seed bank lol, I know rite crazy we lady she is. although when I say it like that it makes sense, 1 in 4 usually is lol

I have them all topped after their 4th node, planning to lst them all. what I've been thinking is maybe fiming the new tops, they are all well on their way but the side branches haven't really caught up yet, so im thinking that if I fim all the new tops it will give me more time with the lower branches. and let me keep them shorter and even. I have them under a 600w hps in a cool tube. 1.2x1.2m tent with a 5"RVK extractor and filter. then a 4 inch inline fan helping draw in fresh air from outside. I'm going to give them another two weeks veg then switch them over. care to cast an estimate on yield and see if its similar to mine? I switched them to 18/6 a few nights ago, daytime temps where making it difficult to control the tent and they where all looking a bit tired, thought id give them a bit of rest time and try and increase the root mass a little to :bigjoint:
