Yeah you could be totally right dude if that doesn't work you could try some trace elements just do some research on using them correctly :-)

My tap water ph is also 8.5 calcareous water. I add 3 tbl spoon of apple vinegar to bring 5L water to a pH of 7.
I do not add any vinegar when using nutes however
