Leaf tip burn coco/perlite

In all of my last 3 grows my plants have suffered with a little bit of burnt tips, I’ve overlooked it in the past but now that my setup is fairly autonomous ive found the time
to address it. I’m currently following the coco for cannabis nutrient guide for the GH flora trio nutrients. The burning usually starts at the start of flower so should I lower my ppm by 25/50 each week of flower next run? Or is this happening because of the light? Cheers guys

it sounds like nute burn, i would cut back as little on the ferts. but i grow in soil, wait for a coco grower to confirm it. good luck and a little nute burn wont harm your plants, its only if it spreads up the leaves and you starrt to gety funky looking leaves when theres a problem

They drink a lot more during stretch leaving more salts behind. Then as the plants come out of stretch and into bud set the Coco has a bit of salt build up and the nute requirement changes and ban you get burn. Feed lower or run periodic feeds at half strength to clear out the excess salts.

Very clear answer. I like it.

What PPMs were you running in flower when this occurred?

Exactly without this information it’s hard to know for sure.

Once we know the numbers that were pumping in we’ll be able to tell whether it was too high.

If OP is above 1000ppm @ .5 scale then it’s too high unless he was growing 5-6ft tall trees lol.

this is the chart I follow, the ppm and pH is down the bottom for each growth phase. So I would say the tip burn started at 575-600ppm during early to mid bloom.

I get leaf necrosis when I put my plants under the 1000w after a month under flos(T5s) at first flower. They usually out grow it and I ignore it. But it still bugs me, though I ignore it.
