Leaf tips - too much light

i'd keep an eye on those same plant tops that you put a pic up from yesterday.

is the tip burn getting worse? is the interior of the leaves still getting lighter?

from AN website re: nutrient lockout.
The most common way that growers flush their crops is by giving their plants water that has no nutrients in it.

Are you sure both those quotes arent referring to soil? Upon your suggestion I Googled flushing hydro with straight water and all you get is talk about flush prior to chop. Pretty sure if you call up AN they wont advise to flush a hydro system with straight water in early flower, even for 24 hours.
If the guys pH meter is on point then as per the chart he's at the perfect balance but the side effect is his pH is locking out the magnesium. This is why most of the guys I know including myself don't try to hit that spot otherwise there is no drift and you run into lockout issues.

all i can tell you is that it worked for me with plain water for 24hrs. in DWC. something i read over 10 years ago. it breaks the lockout and they start eating like crazy again.

this is not for coco obviously: you flush coco with very light nutes.

if you ever get lockout, try it.

Hard to argue experience dude. I'll definitely remember to try it if shit ever gets real weird.

i'll tell you when i started using it: when i first started using Lucas formula in my first grow, the advice is to use 8/16 mL per gallon from start (tiny plants) to finish (big ones). i burned the shit out of my plants grow #1. killed them quick.

as i figured out that i needed to go lower and lower on my micro/bloom amounts, i would still get some tip burn which if i didn't catch in time, would lead to the EC not dropping any more (lockout). a 24hr flush with RO would break the lockout and when started back with much lower EC, they would eat again and usually alot.

now i feed so low i rarely get tip burn and don't need the advice anymore. but i've told alot of new growers here to try it and it seemed to work for them too.
