Leaning?

Ok, so, the last plant I had someone decided to kill so this is my second attempt to grow. My plant was doing fine and actually made a bigger growth spurt last night and two smaller leaves seem to be growing in. I just checked on it and it was leaning nearly to the dirt in the cup. Does anyone have ideas as to why this happened? I thought maybe its stem isnt strong enough do to a lack of potassium or maybe the leaves are just getting too heavy for the stem. None of the leaves are curling it's just leaning even from uptop. I tried burying it with dirt as far as im able to right now but it still leans a bit. Here are two pictures to show you what I mean. Sorry about the quality.

Alright thanks guys. That sh!t scared the hell of out me. Everytime I try to grow something goes wrong haha. I have another question, I only have smaller lamps to provide light after the sun goes down. I use two 20 watt lights and have them like 2-3 inches away from it. I was wondering if there's anything else I can do that I can find around the house to increase the growth. I do have more lamps and stuff but I dont know if that would help. Any suggestions?

you get out what you put in, if you want to only use what you have around, and are not a professional grower with equipment you might not have good results. Sun light is good if your plant is outside. Windows stop a lot of energy, especially newer windows, and are not the best option for growing good bud, Good luck..JR

I dont have as much privacy or money to grow bigger things. So if your saying if I open the window it can get more energy? My windows are about 9 years old.

get a supportbeam for your baby and leave it alone man. i "loved" two out of three to death as jrinlv would put it. the last girl standin in my closet is the one i paid the least attention too

Thing is I have left it alone almost completely unless im watering it when its dry enough or changing it's position from the window to the lamps.

allright then. still, no need to worry. i came home last weekend after leavin my plant on its lonesome. it looked DEAD the whole thing was knocked out...not leaning, passed out !
and she is a foot tall. i just watered it and BAM 10 min later it looked like nothin had happened :) they strong man. real strong

Yeah dude mine is also knocked out like it's facing the floor. It's so leaned over it doesnt seem like it'll get light. I just watered it a little and hopefully my problem was the same as yours. I'll update.

be carefull with the watering though. overwatering is worse than underwatering =O still, i dont think you got anything to worry about. get a fan blowin with very very very weak wind on it. it makes the stem stronger.

hey mate what you could do is buy a fan, you probably already have one put it on that baby, set it to low and let it blow. eventually it will break the inside walls of the stem dont know the exact scientific term for it but i did see it somewhere.
after a while the plant naturally will build a strong stem and that should solve that.

is this using sunlight or do you have your own indoor lighting system for this? honestly from the size of the stem i think it should just grow to be just fine but i want to make sure so i ask about your light.

if your using a HPS or MH light, its always very good to keep it as close as you can without burning your hand, just leave your hand under the light to test, depending on the wattage, lets say 150w HPS you can keep it probably about 6-8 inches away with a well ventilated area probably closer lets say 4 inches. 250-400+w make sure that its still close enough but about 18 inches away, if you have a very good ventilated area then you can push it a little closer.

if its sunlight none of that applies but you should still put some wind on it everyday, to strengthen the stem. also mate do not bury the stem too much or at all really, it intakes oxygen and you can easily suffocate and kill your child.

if it really becomes that bad, you can easily just get a plastic cup, what i would do way back in the day before i knew about the whole wind and stem strengthening, worked fine. get the plastic cup and some scissors or better yet a razor, cut a line
all the way to the top of the cup dont cut the cup in half, just a line on one side, however you can make a hole on the top might seem a little hard but it doesnt have to be a perfect hole, from the line use your razor or scissor to connect the line to the hole at the bottom, so now you should have a cup that should look like it was split halfway through to the hole, a clear plastic cup is perfect because it lets the light through still, now all you need to do is judge the size and cut the top parts of the cup off. once you have it sized up you can just bend the cup to open up the hole and put your plant in the hole, now it will have help supporting itself and you can easily just bend the cup again once its stronger to remove it later on.

another great thing to pump up your babies up is a Co2 generator, this can easily be made with products from your local grocery. here are some links on how to easily build them, i use about 2 in my setup, they both are 2 liter bottles and it has really improved everything as far as growth and health of my plants go, i never have issues with them falling over or just looking too weak. hope i could help somehow. take care. let us know how it goes.

i use the first site, its a bit easier to read and understand for making your own generator. peace and happy growing. :)

another thing, is this a femenized seed, if your growing one seed, you want to be very delicate and take the best possible care you can to assure that it will not stress itself and go herme, then you will end being extremely sad when you have a 2-3 foot tall plant that is growing balls. but dont fret, if that does happen whatever you do, do not throw it away, twim it down dry it out.

once its dried out you can buy some isopropyl alcohol 91%, you can check on youtube and type ISO Hash, and tons of people have great videos on how you can turn your trimmings into hash, i had probably some 3 year old trimmings laying around in my drawers, busted that out recently and made some killer hash with it, i made about 2 and half grams, its not much but it will last you a couple days because one hit and your gone. so never throw any trimmings away keep it all, break it down and can be used. best of luck.
