Leave by window?

Hypthetically...

If someone had two (tomato) plants growing in a pc box, would it be safe to leave them by a window for three days and then put them back in the box?

What would the risk be if you left them in the box??

your on a marijuana growing forum...its ok to refer to it as that as it would make no sense to grow tomatoes in a pc box....but as it comes to the plant...if properly trained yes it can stay in the pc case...their are many growers on here that grow in pc cases...most of them grow autoflowering strains that stay small.but it can be done..i would shoot for an indica strain

Sorry, forgot to mention that it would stay by a window for three days while the person would be on vacation.

Would they die?

depends on the window honestly...and how light/heat goes through it
directly, indirectly, diffused, what direction the window faces, how well insulated the window is, number of panes in sash, glass type/thickness, annealing, seasonal angle of the sun, any local objects that reflect or absorb light at window over the course of a day (snow, trees, water, buildings, grass, cars, concrete, and so on)

i would never advise leaving ANY plant next to a window for days...seen to many get nuked that a way
plenty of windows grow healthy plants though...it CAN be just fine

I would find a good friend that could stop by your house or one that you could drop the girls off at his place(under cover of dark of course) and have him watch them. If you give them a good watering they should be ok for 3 days (depending on how old they are and what size pots they are in) but I wouldn't leave them in a window in direct sunlight for a few reasons(sun light over exposer, someone seeing them in the window and calling the police) If you have to leave them at home alone water them good and put them on the floor in the room with the window shades open about 30%. Have a nice trip :)

even worse of an idea then leaving it in a window...first rule of growing dont tell ANYBODY...that good friend can become your worst enemy if they get pissed at you.
