Leaves turning purple

Growing Super critical auto, when started to flower the leaves started to turn purple. Im using bloom booster with 0-50-30. Had the same issue with grow before. They were going purple, crispy and dying. Water is ph'ed to 6.5.

I had a touch of this in September & still lingering in some plants, can you offer any more info, I guess you are in soil because of your pH, when did you cut your nitrogen? What are your temperatures and any other info you can think of ??

It can be phosphorus, mine started when I switch to a popular one part nutrient at the beginning of September, huge mistake! and I've been undoing that damage since; interestingly just recently this particular product changed its formula because of many such complaints

Yeah, I'm in plagron lightmix soil. I'm using GH Flora trio series, only micro and bloom at the moment. Used grow only for couple of weeks. I'm completely lost, cos don't know whats causing it. Would you say it's phosphorus def? I've tried to add 2ml per gallon of phosphorus on it's own last watering. The temps are 28-31 at daytime and 21-23 when lights are off. RH 45-55%. Using RO water with 5ml per gallon of calmag.Would you have any idea what would be cause of this?

I also use GH3 part. In your case I would follow the label and next time I switched to bloom I would continue feeding 2-2-2 ratio for at least two weeks, maybe more depending on how the strain reacts, because you dropped nitrogen to early in my opinion. Also I might hold off on the bloom booster and see what happens

Not using those nutes so can't helo you there. Also says on the bottle what it contains. You also have the grow part right? It contains nitrogen by any chance?

Well the last grow was the same, and I used all three of them through full cycle. Should I add nitrogen now on it's own?

How long do you have left regarding adding nitrogen now?

I recommend you read and learn the GH feeding ratio on the label you should never have to deviate from that particularly as a noob, it's well thought out and designed.

As for nitrogen you should read what I said above regarding 2-2-2 ratio and when to change to a 3-2-1 bloom ratio (I never cut the nitrogen) good luck

I think I'm about 2-3 weeks to harvest. When you say 2-2-2, that means two parts of nutrient? The reason I cut out grow part, was that I read few people who used o ly micro and grow parts - "Lukas formula". Next time I'll do differently.

I agree the plant seems to want nitrogen. N is still very important in flower.

I'm sorry to say this but you have waaaaay more then 2 weeks left till harvest. Those plants aren't even Half way through flowering yet.

I used the GH 3 part for a few years, then I switched to just the bloom nutrient to do the Lucas formula. I did that for years and it worked ok.

When did you start the bloom booster? If you started with that right at the beginning of flower hat might be your whole problem. That booster had some crazy high ratios which might have locked out the N.

Plants can only eat so much and they want their food in balanced meals. Giving the plant a bigger plate of nutrients won't usually just make a better plant.

Additives should be used to boost certain nutrients if specific plants need them.

I was guessing about harvest time, by seed company, which stated that its 63 days from seed. Could be more of course then two weeks. I've used the bloom booster after two weeks into flowering, I used bud ignitor at half dose when saw preflower signs. What would you advise?

It's a tough call honestly I stopped growing in soil because I didn't like all the variables. In my hydro set up if my plants did that I'd flush the system an set it back up with fresh nutrients maybe with a boost to nitrogen by using the veg nutes instead of bloom. I would also skip the bloom booster personally.

It didn't sound like you were starving it with feed schedule which makes lean towards possible lock out.

As far as harvest time goes some seed companies are full of shit. Yep I said it. You would think that the breeders would know the plants the best but many breeders are only in it for the money.

I've only ran a few autos but they still grew like regular plants. I just didn't have to switch my light cycle to trigger flowering.

The seedlings still take a few days to a week to begin really growing. Then the plant has to veg until it reaches genetic maturity and begins to flower. Once it starts to flower I would believe 63 days. But not from germination.

Maybe should I try to give just water+calmag, next 3 feeds?

I know why you did what you did, and I know why I'm telling you for the third time to read the label.

I had similar problems but I switched back to GoBox and 5 gallon grow bags. Bottom of the grow bag is FFOF and top half is BioBizz Light Mix. The FFOF has 25% perlite mixed in. I start feeding at 2 weeks from seed at around 1/4 strength and I ramp it up to near full dose by the time stretch starts. I use grow until stretch comes to and end and then I switch to bloom nutes. I also give a little water once a day instead of drowning them twice a week. This method fixed my N deficiency and lock-out problems.
