The Colombian Gold thread has inspired me to post a thread on Lebanese Blond hash, the first hash I ever tried in the late 70's.
I remember...I was sitting in a bean bag using an early commercial glass bong that had a transfer decal of a multiple masted sailing ship. I was under a white silk parachute from Vietnam that I had used to turn my room into like a harem tent or some such...a chopped glass topped table held my bong and hash on a green shag wall to wall carpet. On the reel to reel stereo was Grateful Dead Working Man's Dead. The song Uncle John's Band and the hash took me to a new musical awareness. I got chillbumps listening.
Lebanese Blond. I bought a gram for $5.00 and it was my first hash. I can still smell it almost ...heating it to soften it because most always it was hard. I remember alot of pinene in it...piney but incensy and complex. And an ounce was only $80.00.
One time we got some soft stuff that was fresh and so effing good.
One thing about cannabis/hash...it leaves olfactory memories and other memories. New terps are cool but old terps make an old man young again.
Last I heard the Bekaa valley was producing again but I wouldn't know. I heard the Israeli military smuggled alot of it from Lebanon.
