So in the legal states are there meds available grown strictly with cmh lights as oppossed to reg mag hps or mh? All the technical jargon is wonderful but for me id have to try the final product.
The dispensaries will tell you the strain, they won't generally tell you what it's grown under.

Nice to see you again, brother.

So who knows somebody that knows somebody that owns par reading equipment and a Sunsytems 630 . I can't believe we are still in the dark on a dual 315 big hood and have no numbers on a 5x5 or 4x4 area .! I got the equipment whose got the testing equipment ?

I own sun systems par meter and a few 315 lec, I've played around with a friend of mines 630. The 315lec gives 1500-750 umol/s at 12-18", the footprint is 3x3 max per 315 and 630lec fills an entire 4x4 at 1200umol/s easily. They make a 630 with a de fixture in the middle called the grow beast, I'm assuming that's 6x6 footprint easily with amazing spectrum. They give off heat but not much,I use only ventilation, no ac until the 2 hottest months of the year.

I now have three, 3x3 tents, full of LEC goodness. After sampling the final results of my first crop under LEC, I quickly went out and grabbed another light from SunSystem, this time it was the "new and improved" model. Which means they added an on/off switch and the ability to daisy chain up to three units.

(On the left is the SunSystem 315 V2, the HydroFarm Phantom CHM is in the middle, and the SunSystem 315 V1 is on the right)

epitome of a perfect setup

probably a little to early to tell, but how do you like the phantom compared to the SS? if the difference is negligible or non existent, I wouldn't mind saving a buck or..... hundred. I plan on adding another cmh seeing how my last rip went, as well. even without a cure, the smoke was noticeably stronger.:leaf:

if you want to run your 3100k bulb at 3600k and get less flexibility and coverage than 2 315s, sure
I'm not sure where this 500k shift talk is coming from but according to phillips

"rotating the lamp from the vertical towards the horizontal position, the color temperature may increase
by about 100K and the light output may decrease by up to 2%."

Seems negligible to me.

I'm currently running the 630 and very happy thus far with it. Expecially since I can leave it in 315 for veg and early flower and switch it to 630 when needed.

More color variation than 2% is evident among many street light bulbs, even those in horticultural bulb boxes! Relax and enjoy your hobby. Not saying the 315s are street lights, but just to compare.

Gonna throw my hat in the ring with 2 nanolux 630 CHM, running a mixed set of MaxPar 3k & 4k (nanolux brand) lamp. Found them on sale for 600 a piece. They are gonna go over my 4x12 and replace 2 of my mag/hps 1000, leaving one 1k in the middle of them.
