Ok guys i think this mite be of interest to us i was looking around at how leds could realy benifit us without spending so much and without have to get rid of our precious hps/mh that we love so much. i am not leaving out the cfl grows either cause you my benifit alot check this site out i came across it today and it looks like just the right thing or just the right idea. i would let my plants grow straight through it

thats weird as hell....cool...but i wouldnt drop $200 on it. i like my (2) 100 led panels that hang that i made for $60

srry im high, jesus man come on, i'd laugh in your face if you tried sellin me that, how the hell can that even grow ONE plant....
 
IF they were using decent LED bulbs THEN it would be the bomb...

It sounds like these guys will do custom work. IE; you tell them you want several 6' by 6' nets with (120) 4' drop lines coming off each. These LED's would then hang among your plants ... like a VERTICAL LED grow ... which is the main thing limiting LED's right now in my opinion is the lack of depth / penetration, therefore uselessness for flowering.

This would fix that if they were using decent size LED's... i don't know enough to say that they aren't... but i would guess that that is the case. Many of their products seem to lack important specifications for a persons consideration before buying. A product like this could be even more usefull than a LED 'web' or 'net' that is just cast over the plant... because all of those strands could actually hang down through the plant rather than just over / or around it.
 
The Whole Idea is to youit to get to the center or lower part of you crop like if you growing 4-5 footers then you can put these in right around 2 feet so that to maximize your yield with a hps. You know all the popcorn nugs on the lower branches. Maybe it can help acheving a 4foot cola indoors just an idea . the trees will just grow around them will still getting the 600/1000

That is actually a great idea for great penetration along with HPS. You would make sure the whole plant, every bud site got at least decent light. I don't like it alone, but as supplemental, sure, why not.... Other than the cost....
 
But using those with an HPS would be pointless, they don't have the power to make a dent against even the dark areas in an HPS grow.

Can't hurt to play with stuff like that, but I wouldn't want anyone to waste their hard earned money on it.
 
Yeah, for the extra potential 5 grams, not worth the 100-300 dollars or whatever....
LED's will have their time, but the technology is just too expensive right now to make it practical. In 10-20 years, it may be exciting, but not yet...
 
Holy shit! Why would anyone buy this? DIY. I could build this w/parts found driving around a couple of yard sales for like $3.00 for all materials. If you are growing yourself, then DIY!
 
I guess if you are trying to keep a stealth grow. Like 4 plants in a little tub or box. Get the LEDs at decent wattage and these would work pretty damn good. As stated on this forum its not the LEDs fault that they are not producing decent but but the setups. ALot of people who are testing these LEDs are using the cheapass china made ones. If you are going to use the LEDs then get some decent ones. I think if done right they would really perform. As of now only the systems that are done right perform awsome but they cost an arm and a leg but people don't want to put there own badass light together. I guess its just laziness or something.
 
yer leds are still good atm like the 1 with as much power as a 600watt hps but there 4 times the price. in a few years when they come down in price people will be talking about hid as they talk about cfls now. yer diy like wherethehellami said. you can pick up .5watt leds for like 20c you could get 100 for $20 then wire for about $10 and transformer for $15 thats a saving of like $155 i think if you have a bushy strain like ww these would be good but for tall plants with not that much bushy then the hps would prob do better
