Hi, I will be Starting my project soon, i have bought an aerogarden, and after seeing Mr. natural's Armoire grow i dont feel so bad about it, at all!

i will be buying a 180w Led UFo from calyx when the guy sees fit to reply.

I'm gonna take the top of the aerogarden and place the ufo directly above it, then on each side i will have 2 cfls.

now my question is, should i put 4 2700k's in there or 2 2700k's and 2 6500k'?

thanks in advance,

Frankenbuds

i would just start with a better light, If you want a good LED and dont want to pay the high end prices, i would go with the hydrogrowled units. (hydrogrowled.com). They are comparably priced and seem to preform really well. I will be getting a little 120(180w) unit for vegging and clones and moms. In the grow journals (none here really, other forums) they seem to do pretty good. There was even a comparison between this company and the very light your looking at getting. That light didn't fair too well really.

If i remember right the person running that company, i think named cammie, is a hardcore shady person and doesnt tell the truth about her lights. She embellishes and out right lies, and there have been problems with the power supplies. One such person had a problem with their led units(bout 2 or 3) and wanted to use her warranty option, well she refused warranty then called the persons local police and reported them for growing weed and stealing lights from her. He was legal and she was in the right, last i heard she was going to be taken to court for it.

Just why risk it? too much bad rep for me

Oh and the place i referred you to(as well as most GOOD led units) dont need any supplementary lighting, but as always more light is better. I would stick 3 2700k 18w(they run much cooler) and 1 6000k 18w in there on the sides for flowering.

thank you very much for the advice, i see i forgot to mention how much watts i wanted to use but you gave me an accurate description anyway. im think of 4 additional 23-30watt lights. the lights you have advised me look really good, however they are a bit too pricey for the amount of watt, do you or anyone know how the prosource 180 watt is?.

Pro source are 500 for the 180w

check out the link i gave before. The spectra 120 is a misleading name, it actually is a 180w system. goes for 389 or something. type in google HGL test or journal, you should find some good information. In fact do that for EVERY led you are going to consider, and always ask WHO is doing the testing. At times it is just the distributor and the grow is fixed, just be cautious and always question. Going by that, you should even question me, make sure you do a lot of research first, there are too many shit lights out there to risk not researching well.

PS the reason i suggested the 18w bulbs is just because they run a lot cooler than the 23-30 ones, plants can touch them much safer.
