Heres the update.

Just fed the plants after making it rain yesterday. Run off from the feed was reading 900ppm or so which im deeming acceptable for now :blsmoke: The skywalker is chowing down 50+ppm between the two times I check it every day. 100 ppm a day isnt to shabby :bigjoint: Reservoir change yet again this saturday, rather be safe then sorry. Ill be shooting for 600 ppm (500 of flora novabloom and the 100 that my tapwater "comes with")

Ill be foilar feeding the 350ppm solution of cal/mag yet again tonight right before the lights go off.

The plants are growing like crazy and id say the skywalker has now surpassed the p.e.'s in terms of sheer mass. The stems leading to the fan leafs are the size of pencils. Res temps are holding steady at 20 degrees c. I figured out my mag deficiency I think, the water I was feeding with was set at 6.0 and must of dropped to 5.5 or so after adding nutes. Made sure I watered with 7.5 today in an effort to even it out.

I also retopped all of the aggressively growing nodes, in an effort to let the lowest nodes and anything that had to turn from below to reach light a little time to catch up, and who doesnt like another group of tips sprouting up? In a week in a half these things will be complete bushes!
your right! gonna be straight bushes
good work so far and good luck down the road with the flower.
rep + for the update

Updateeeee Posting Picture's In a Few

Did my reservoir change yesterday (a hair over 2tsp of flora nova bloom and a 1/4tsp of cal mag gives me a 430ppm solution, of which 100 is tap water add ins) Gonna bump it up by 1/4 tsp's the next few days to try and throw her into overdrive and avoid nute burn at the same time.

Took 9 clones, 3 from the skywalker and 2 each from the p.e.'s. So far it looks like il be throwing the two from the runt straight into flower and not using them for breeding. The damn runt refuses to branch out..... nothing to grab onto for lsting. Took them on friday, hoping to plant them on the 28th or right about then. Might just move the clones to outside the flowering area as of then and continue a mild vegging. No room for mothers at the moment.

The soil plants responded well to the making it rain and then feeding, there still quite moist at the moment and unless they dry out quickly they wont see another feed before flowering. After retopping all the topped sprouts im seeing lots of growth, turning each stem into 4-6 more. Gonna be fun flowering these lsted plants, no reason they wont have 24+ colas if I switched to flower end of next week.

Problem is that the waterfarm is slacking. This plant goes through spurts, one day its stand still and the next it grows an inch or more. I topped it and stopped/slowed the upward growth big time :/ Im going to introduce the screen in the next two days or so despite the fact that the plants still 2 inches away. I have a feeling once I start to weave it will blow up. Roots are looking primo, il take a few pics in tonights photoshoot. Gotta cook dinner first, pan seared wild coho salmon with basic seasoning/lemon and long grain/wild riceee yummmm!!!!! :)

Edit on the salmon..... the misses decided we must have tacos for dinner :( I went ahead and cooked the salmon since I had thawed it out already, my father buys us those awesome little 4by 7in trays about 2 inches deep with a clear lid for leftovers. Super easy to heat up in the microwave and to store in the fridge! Would of made the last two fillets while I was at it if I had known prior, cant live with um and you cant "make a da sexytime" without um. kiss-ass <- if only that was a 5 4 110 lb mean little blonde.

Someone better comment on this as well, wouldnt believe how long it takes to upload 9 photos :(

Without further ado

Sad of the lack of love I'm getting :( In other news, all clones still alive. Did a trim of the bottom stuff (tiny fan leaves, tiny 1cm starts of new nodes, LST any leaves blocking light to inner nodes, etc etc) really opened the inside of the plant's into a nasty growth spurt. I destroyed the two little juicy fruit or whatever they were from delicious seeds. They grew fast and doubled in size from my last update but Ive got my hands full with the plants I have right now after the clones and germinating a barneys farm vanilla kush, just sounds so tasty that I couldn't resist. The skywalker is touching the screen and il be updating Thursday with pictures. Id expect il have my first 4-5 tips through the screen by then, the vk will be planted in a cup and the p.e. will be in pure beast mode. I'm finally running about 3tsp floranova bloom in the waterfarm, at 500-525ppm of which 100-110 is my tap water. I'm afraid I could of pushed her harder from the get go, still no signs of anything close to nutrient burn, whilst the p.e.'s are all now showing mild signs of cal/mag deficiency, they are still moist unfortunately so I cant correct without doing more harm. Hopefully Thursday afternoon I can give them a mild-heavy dose of cal mag with properly balanced/PHed water. Clones will be a week old come Friday afternoon.

Sorry man, beed away on business, Im still tuned in however! Don't worry about pushing her harder, she would have let you know if you needed to add anything else.

Plus everything usually looks pretty bleek until the stretch.

Alright guys, if you recall I was terrified of heat/having to exhaust all my precious co2 during flowering (when it really counts)

I devised a system. The light are on a timer from 3am to 4 30pm (it will be cut back in 30 minute intervals until I hit 12/12 this week) the co2 is on a timer and my 6in high output canfan/canfilter is on a timer. I set the fan/filter to turn on for 30-45 minutes depending on approximate heat during the day every 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours for 15-45 minutes. I set the timer on the co2 to stop pumping co2 15 minutes before the fan comes on and to turn back on immediately after the fan shuts off. This way my plants still get a shit ton of co2 throughout the day and im only losing out on 3 hours of co2 (my ambient is 300-500 and im pumping up to 1500 artificially). After 8+ hours of this test my max temp has been 79 degrees, todays trial should count more as its going to be sunny 40+ degrees but im not to worried :)

In sadder news, I went looking for clip on fans last night, one for under the plants and one to mix air from above downwards (towards the filter) and no one has shit for fans yet :( I have one large oscillating fan right now that will do but I really wanted to mix any dead/hot air from above with the cooler canopy air. Bummer. tried 1 walmart, a lowes, and a home depot.

Pics tonite and you'll be happy with the progress :) I am. lol

Everyone have a wonderful day, I got tomorrow off from work and will be toking all day and getting a much needed oil change.

P.s. Stone sour, if your still here. Does your iolite not work sometimes? Mine turned on for one flame cycle last night but never continued to heat the maryjane. This is the second time this has happened and the first time I just purged and refilled the butane and it worked again, my 0 to 1 switch is the culprit if I had to blame one part in particular. Pretty bummed since Ive smoked out of it maybe 6-7 times and love it.

Edit- added pics. The skywalker is pushing 625 ppm still and still lowering the nutes by 25+ppm every 5 or so hours. Fed the p.e.'s today 1tsp dynagro gro, 1/2 tsp dynagro cal mag, 1/4tsp dynagrow bloom, and 1/2tsp great white ph'ed to 6.5- really hope this stops the cal mag deficiency. Only 1 gallon of water. The skywalker is chowing water by the way, pushing 3/4 gallon a day. Mite do a reservoir change on Saturday and run clearex first before I empty it. The clones should have roots by the start of next week and I should see them out of the little starter sponge cakes by this time next week and I'll plant them then. Hottest the grow closet has got today is 83. PERFECT. I'm expecting to see a ton of growth the next few days now that there in 12/12 just about. This will be my first scrog so if by some miracle of god it comes out even i'll be shocked. :bigjoint:001.jpg002.jpg003.jpg004.jpg005.jpg006.jpg007.jpg

Counting 24-30 sprouts on each soil plant, Im sure il lose one or two here and there from a break (already lost one to a break) or under lighting/culling. Ive defoliated more then a dozen leaves off of each soil plant in effort to get light to lower/inner nodes. I like to make sure each pair of sprouts on each branch has one fan leaf, 2 if its got the room. The under/inner growth is how I got a ton of these extra sprouts shooting up.

Little update again. The clones have rooted, well 6 out of 9 had enough roots to go ahead and plant in party cups. 1 had little tiny 1cm root and I managed to snap it- went ahead and planted it anyways. The other two look less then promising, no nubs or anything. Went ahead and left them in the clone dome for now. I like to remove the little sponge plugs or whatever, seems to slow growth initially until the roots really get out of the cube.

I had duct taped the 4 large corner holes on the rose pots at the beginning of the grow just to slow water run off, it has 4 more holes in the underside/bottom. Too my surprise there was a knot of roots at every corner. Im hoping by removing the tape Ill encourage root spin like air pots do. Maybe it could throw the p.e.'s into over drive :) The biggest dirt clone didnt take at all and the biggest skywalker didnt take yet either. The screen isnt really filling in much, I just took the tops and bent them under along with the fan leaves they had above the screen. Essentially allowing light to the next 2 nodes down with new sprouts trying to stretch up to the screen. I think thats the hole idea behind scrog- aim the main stalk and pull up the undergrowth towards holes.

Im kinda bummed I cant look at the roots of the waterfarm, this skywalker is a keeper for sure.

Vanilla kush seedling has sprouted and working on pushing out the first set of leaves.

Things are going good besides the fact im broke from lack of work this month :( 20-25 hours a week is barely paying the bills. Should pick up in march with the warm weather.

Hi Nickyp!
Thanks for stopping by at my thread and for the kind words.
I see you're looking for a net trellis and didn't find, but I do and that's what I'm using in my setup. The only thing I had to modified was the holes, making them a little smaller, but I've seen some farmers using the way it is.
Here is the link:

Congratulations!

Some one left me +rep and asked if I was fimming the plants, just topping, I accidentally fimmed one (just topped it sloppily/hastily) and Il have to find where it went/which plant its on tomorrow, looks like 3 heads instead of the normal 2. Il update tomorrow afternoon or Monday with pictures. Haven't decided yet, still no burnt leaves at 750ppm of flora nova bloom (my tap is 100 so really 650)

I need some insight if I'm doing this scrog thing right or not. Not weaving, just guiding the tops down under once they pop up. Took a few pictures for that reason.

The soil plants are booming. Havent been touched really in a few days and there enjoying the light :-o

Timer is down to 12hours 30 minutes on and 11 hours 30 minutes off as of today, its gone down in 15 minutes increments since 3 days ago? I'm going to go ahead and call today day 1 of flowering. These next 5 days should be NUTS with growth. I did a reservoir change Friday to avoid disturbing the skywalker while she does her thing, I'm seeing at least an inch+ of main stalk growth every night. Tomorrow morning I should have a 1/2 dozen secondary heads popping through the screen. Do I bend these heads over? Id guess that in the next 2-3 days they'll go from 1in tiny little 1 noders to 4in 3 noded tops.

My plan with the p.e.'s is to just tie the buds/tops apart in another week or so, so nothing gets overcrowded and my light's can really do there thing. That last soil bucket is for the vanilla kush, I intend to veg it out for 3-4 weeks just like the p.e.'s take a few clones and throw it into flower. I'm hoping il have a favorite phenotype out of my 3 p.e.'s in a week or two and Ill veg out the clones from that plant. Looking for that nasty pineapple skunky scent.

I'm already thinking about next grow. I want tga subcool's querkle. Like you have no idea. lol003.jpg007.jpg006.jpg002.jpg004.jpg005.jpg

Im having an issue with scrog. I cant seem to get the plant to so sideways. Like it just bends and grows up again, so I reworked all the tops back to there original holes and there poppin g out 2-3 inches. Once there 4inches I can bend them into the next hole. At least that makes sense in my head whereas before I was just basically lsting the branch at a 45 degree angle which does nothing compared to a 90degree bend.

So 4th day of straight 12/12 and things are looking good. Im seeing a few female flowers here and there on all of the plants. Ive been weaving the skywalker and "ruffling" the p.e.'s a lot (just shaking up all the branches, trying to get light to the inside, Ill take them out 1 by 1 this weekend and lst a hair more/the last time to give buds space to grow)

Clones are doing good. All rooted and all good without the dome, the fastest/healthiest clones are in the back, don't need to keep an eye on them.

I need another light for sure. Gonna buy another 240watt blackstar, just unsure if I want a veg or flower and there price has gone up 20 dollars since the last time I bought one.... Might buy something else, just wish other units were price competitive. With a third light I will feel much more comfortable, my fear is just that the p.e.'s have bushed out a ton so far and I'm confident there gonna be 20inches wide after this weekend lst and another week of growth.

I think a different brand of light would do me well. I really don't have 300+ to spend and I'm also not positive these units are worth me sinking another 270 into. I mean the footprint is very small for 300 dollars.

P.e.'s are due for another feeding this weekend (couple days ago they got straight water) skywalker has been hanging out around 750 ppm. Keep refilling the res with nutrient solution. She chows about a 1/2gallon a day.

The picture is a GIANT fan leaf from the skywalker. Thats a cranberry juice bottle I freeze and use as an ice pack to keep my res at 19-20degree's C. It also says "Meet our grower's" lol. And thats my curious pup, white german shepard that is not fond of strangers. Funny thing is, the next pair of fan leaves up the stalk are 2in longer in leaf mass. I think I'm scrogging right, chime in if you must, had to pretty much do the super crop (pinch both sides of stem) and bend them into the next holes. Lots of undergrowth trying to reach up. Ive been removing fan leaves that block light to lower branches here and there but everything is about caught up besides a few straggler's.

NO nute burn and I'm very proud/psyched of that. Everything looks healthy and hick-up free so far.:leaf::weed:
