LED Companies w/ LINKS

What we need is a good comparison for example between xpe and xpg (blue)

Am working on it, anybody else keen?

We need to consider all the specs

...and ultimately we need to know, even if xpg is the*winner....

IS IT BETTER TO HIT THE PLANT WITH ONE "stronger" POINT OF LIGHT OR FROM MORE LESS INTENSE POINTS OF LIGHTS?

that needs experiments I think, what is best and what is too much? (From one single source of light)

Fascinating...

I have been growing outdoor and indoors for more than four decades a few years ago I decided to try LED to replace HID. Over the years I have tried three different Chinese LED manufacturers and they all defrauded me in exactly the same way. Do not do business with SHENZHEN LED STAR this company are liars and thieves. In fact all three Chinese companies I tried to do business with pulled the same stunt. The overcharged me to build custom lamps and then sent me a standard lamp. Their crappy lamp failed but not before burning my plants with UV because it had the wrong spectrum. Their excuse was they did not understand. So their excuse is they are so stupid they cant do business properly. So beware China is the Kingdom of Scammers.

Ohhhh..My friend now,I've to strongly disagree with you .... The kingdom of Scammers is my country.... Greece !--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------=> ( Was "Hellas" ,before many years ...Now the " light " has faded away => (H)"el" = light/bright & 'las'=stone ==>land of bright rock/white marble... -------------------------Anyway..................----------------------------------------------------------- ...You just can not judge ,a whole and massive industry ,just by your mishappens.... It's pretty absolute and unfair....... Kinda old-fashioned-way-of- thinking, maybe ,also..... ...... Yes ,it sucks big time & you're not the first, the only one or the last one that got the..... rotten apples ...... But ,there are also plenty of trustworthy professionals there,also.... One main thing ,when dealing with them ,is to let them know that any of their acts & deeds is going to have a large positive or negative impact for their bussiness.. One other thing,is that you 've to show/prove that you Know perfectly what you want & what 're u talkin' about.... Once they realise ,that is going to be , both hard & risky ,to trick you...They won't do it... ...... -------------------------------------Why you didn't order it ,to be made in a EU / US factory....? There's got to be a good reason ,there.... (Probably you would've gotten what you wanted...But also there, you'd have been ripped -off ,in a more civilised way ..aka "overpricing"....Western labour (our one ) costs pretty much,my dear brother....Eh ?--------------- So...Where is plenty money or even , where is lack of it ,thieves always await ....Meanin' ....EVERYWHERE ! ...)

How are the kessil h350's growing? Any growers using them as side lighting? Main source?
I use an H50 Magenta and an H150 Purple. I love them, I use them as a main source, or as an enhancer. I don't use much in side lighting. If I could fill my tent with Kessil's I would. Absolutely love them.

They gave me 3 years on the contract we signed

If you buy even 1 penny of it via a credit card then should it break in the warranty period and the seller not replace it you can claim a full refund from your card company I`m not sure if that also counts if you use your card on paypal but anyway there are ways of insuring your lighting equipment.

They were being tested on some chillies and peppers that were pulled out of the garden when it started getting cold we had chilli pepper soup and some chicken the other day so they did not spend long under the lights but I noticed them fattening up a lot in the few days they were under them.

I`ll be putting some other bits and bob`s under them to see how they respond but not for a little while now as I`m going to be super busy with work and xmas

Can anyone look these lights over and tell me if they look decent or if there is something that's a redflag that I'm not catching? http://led-star.en.alibaba.com/product/669356651-212462443/Iris_Platinum_LED_Grow_Light_P90_3watt_for_hydroponic_greenhouse_flowering_and_veg_CE_ROHS.html

Their reflector design seems pretty interesting and I think it looks like it could be more efficient. They're charging about $420 shipped for a 120x3w lamp with an actual draw of 190-220w. Comes with a 5yr warranty as well. Been reading on LEDs and trying to do as much research as I can so I would appreciate any input :)

Here....
But don't ask about asian-made led grow panels...

( Would never ,under any circumstances ,buy a ready-made one,specially asian-made...
But, on second thought...........Well , not exactly 'never' & 'under any circumstances' .....
There're couple bright exceptions there ...I.e...... : http://www.area51lighting.com/ )

USA designed, assembled overseas....

Area 51 certainly does NOT use typical "fly-by-night-chinese-dropship" parts either...

The new series of lights available soon are going to be even more amazing!

what kind of price are they ? they look like some lights I`ve seen on ebay where they called Apollo 6 or Apollo 10`s ?

I really just got sick of 1w 2w and 3w leds after using them for a short time

I think 1 to 3w are great for veg but I just found flowering with them too much hassle I got great bud but with the light so close the plants were always so short and the panels always got in my way

It`s so much easier to work on things once your lights are up higher or maybe it`s just me I`m not exactly small lol

Any new word on the AF150 from Area 51? Reading back in the threads it seems like it might have been out by now.

Thanks.
