^^^Ya they say that but the numbers don't quite match up. They have some videos in the media section that show some field measurements.
Since I have seen it shown as 1000-1100umols@12" and the avg700umols@18" and those numbers don't quite match up. I did the math based on each one being true.

Situation #1 assumes that 1090umol@12" is the truest measurement...1r=12"
1090=S/4(pie)r^2
S=1090 (12.566371)
S=13697.344

Now move to 18"... r=1.5
I=13967.344/4(pie)(1.5)^2
I=13,697.344/28.274334
"I" should = 484.444umol...not 700

Situation #2 assumes that 700umol@18" is the truest measurement...1r=18"
700=S/4(pie)r^2
S=8,796.46

Now move back to 12" or (2/3)r
I=8,796.46/4(pie)(2/3)^2
I=8.796.46/5.5851
"I" should = 1574.99umol...not 1090

I have seen 1090 on my own single unit so I personally think that to be the truest situation. But if the average is from a line/array of AT's then the crossover can inflate the reading.

Either way 12" seems to be the new standard measuring point. Until the units get big enough that we need to measure from farther to capture the maximum. Very few companies are actually putting out 1000umol+@12" and any one that does is worth a chance IMO. Specially in the <200w category.
Good lamp!
Here is another unknown lamp outputs more than 1100umol at 12" <150W.

If it was my money, I wouldn't buy it.
Sorry my bad, should have been more specific. Would that light be a good cheap light for side lighting? (not for a main source of light)

Was a little baked when I asked and all my thoughts decided not to jump to the keyboard... Opps my bad:eyesmoke:

It's not a cost effective panel. Those Zeners and mystery diodes will cost you in electricity and yield in the long run. Vipar A100s are getting cheaper by the day on EBay as they get ready for their new panel's release. You could use those as side lighting.

A100's on eBay?
Hey Scotch, I'm stuck in Orbot/Android hell right now or I'd hit you with a link to their EBay store. Just search eEBay for "Vipar" led and you'll see them. Gotta use those parenthesis! The prices fluctuate and without free shipping the prices aren't all that right now. Best bet is to call or email them and work out a price. Plus you don't want to pay with PayPal internationally, the greedy fucks charge you quite the fee for international buying so use a Western Union MO if you can. You can use any name on those and I would trust Vipar not to fuck someone using them. At least this fiscal quarter ;).

Just so everyone knows I've been on e-mail with Jeff at area51 for the past week and a bit and I'm gonna be testing their new light against the DS XML 350! I'm excited about this!! Journal to come!
So they lost my e-mails a few times and sold all the first batch so I have to wait a couple weeks until the next batch comes in. ( Little Sad )

I've got some time as of doing this test between the lights so in the meantime I thought I would ask you the public what you would like to see me grow as for strain?
