They're lucky, for now, until something on their light breaks.
They sell the exact same "Vipar" lights on TopLED's site, in the section "Old Model LED Grow Lights".
Rebranded junk, is rebranded junk, no matter what you call it.
Vipar in the UK = Blackstar in the USA.

Just curious what the difference between the Mas II 1200W (479.99$)at the topledgrowlight website and the DB700-U(1574.00$) at the blackdog webiste.

Also wondering if LGsolution is the original manufactuer of the Mars II LED grow light.....
Black Dog is the original, the Mars II is the deadly knock off.
Why deadly, you ask?
According to member Spiko, his Mars II LED light came full of metal shavings inside of it, and this isn't an isolated incident.
Loose metal shavings inside of an electronic device like that can cause it to short circuit, even starting a fire.

Vipar in the UK = Blackstar in the USA.
Nope.
If you had been reading along, you'd know that this is the Vipar that we are discussing.

A new year deserves a new list of my approved leds or what is my current list of recommended leds. These are pretty much the only ones I feel comfortable recommending at this time. I would gladly grow with any of them. I'm sure others out there are ok as well, so don't take this as gospel but just a loose guide.

Apache Tech
Area 51
California Lightworks
Hans / bonsaihero
Illumitex
Lumigrow
AdvancedLedLights
Blackdog
Vipar
Plant photonics

I'm excited to see which if any of these companies comes out with new gear in 2014.

And Rhinogrows when you can pick them up on the cheap.
These look sweet for a PC case/micro grow; http://www.ebay.com/itm/105W-UFO-LED-Hydroponics-Full-Spectrum-Indoor-Plant-Flower-Grow-Light-Lamp-Panel-/131066745521?pt=US_Hydroponics&hash=item1e842fd2b1

i liked those HTg ones but theyre expensive! i went with grow evolution. htg makes some great gear and its usually dirt cheap

check em at growevolution.com they use the same style multichip/cob that the middle of the HTG ones use. Thats why i wanted to get the HTG ones for so long but couldnt beat the price of grow ev. And them and htg are the only 2 ive seen using cobs/multichips and i was gonna make a panel by myself but for not too much more the grow ev ones were nicely packaged and had a warranty and guaranteed i wouldnt fuck up wiring haha

Sounds interesting in the Vipar business, is not it a UK based company, why is it selling in the USA? Probably because no USA companies interested in the topledgrowlights?

I was at the cup, I saw lush and Sub. I never talk led's with sub though, just genetics. Lush now has secondary lenses, and a 660w unit. It's still a narrow Eshine and can't cover worth a damn. They had a µmol meter so I played. Like 1200@ aboutb12"-15"...then dropped to 150 real quick outside the unit. I hate them...but they go to every cannabis cup and they are the only ones, so they get undeserved attention. Then they have pics of kushington, but that place is still half hps that they don't show.

Farmerjohn is sponsored by lush already, and he is also a TGA member, so there is the connection to sub. But FG does't use them for anything other than a prop. They light his walkway in his flower room. And he just started to veg with them. FG got into them because his buddy garagegrower is a cali con rep, and they sponsored lush from the HT cups. It's all a big circle of lucky connections but no one is actually using them very much...just talking/advertising.

I see Sub at a lot of events. He is one who would never want to change from hps and has said that many times...but if he really wants to change now possibly, I would love to sit down and talk real lighting with him. I have a jar of AOS bubble and Jilly flowers waiting.

My 'fear' is that if Lush is associated with Farmer John/TGA that more minions will buy Lush....not exactly pushing the tech forward....

Cant argue with their marketing machine though... :)
