LED grow and the buds seem "airy", not dense

Tags, wow that's quite a closing question. Good set up for the close. I wonder whose light you will recommend if he says yes
Those are just the parameters of performance that I have come down to based on the number/science and my experiences. Yes we know what light I would recommend... but until it is on their site and for sale, I'm over saying it is here and then it's not, just consider it a prototype that me and Stanford have. It's an impressive light that is the best I know of so far and I hope they hurry up with it. A51's multi unit system intrigues me quite a bit too. More waiting for that too though.

I have a DIY design that once I get the funds I will build, that will meet my criteria and them some(just like everyones DIY's are supposed to). It will cost a lot to produce it as a solo DIY, but if I were to build say 10 units it would be pretty cost effective per unit, but still price ass fuck total. Which is why I try to use my connects with apache to get shit done through them possibly. But I have been trying for 2+ years now and things are still nothing close to what I wanted. So maybe my DIY really has to happen so I can have the upper hand. Just proving a point would be worth the cost.
I know you(pet flora) saw my uvb addition concept...well I took the post down because AT liked it and wanted to help get it going, and I didn't want someone to copy...still no proto's yet. I could have had 25 proto's ready and in sunlight supplies office by last week.

it was a alibaba clone of the BlackStar 500, $280 - free shipping. here is one spot, the same strain under the LED was denser. The downside to LED is that some burn out and need replacing. It costs me $5 per bulb and 10-15 minutes of time. I have spent $15 on replacement bulbs in about 5k hours, still bright as fug but a downside - not good direction. They shine a little like a spotlight. I suggest a LED that spreads it`s bulbs out slightly further and not so tightly packed in a close range. Bigger is Better..

LED - 3 weeks in, my own hybrid of (SensiSeeds) NL#5/Haze x Tooty Fruity.

looks like a lot of hps in those shots, or you got a weird color led.
10-15 minutes to replace a diode in a "blackstar clone"? Not if it's designed like a blackstar.
There appears to be a couple hundred screws securing the diodes to the printed circuit board and the shitty little heatsink. You must be the little chinese kid that puts those screws in for a penny a day if you're changing out a diode that fast.
I've never had just one diode burn out it's usually rows that go out.
that sure looks like hps :/

Yo tags the reason i said it like that is because dude clearly fidnt know what he was talking about i mean read his post. we all know that quality goes up a little with led lights just telling him to inform himself before saying dumb things.

I feel ya. I just see so much bitching and dick measuring on here. Sub left RIU because of it and he was one of my reasons for being on the forums in the first place. We good knowledgable led guys don't have to stoop to the hps guys level. We can just show our great results because that is all that really matters in the end.

Even cheap blacksatrs are crap. 007 got great results...but then had to fix...that equals crap to me(quality still counts). If you buy a good american panel it will last for the whole 5yrs it's supposed to with zero issues except maybe a dirty fan.

I was running a test. The Chinese piece of trash grew 400 or so grams with 360watts. I spent 15 minutes fixing the bulbs which go out about 1x per bloom cycle.

As far as I am concerned, I can build a LED light-string inside a steel case with exhaust fans for less than $0.60 per watt. American companies want to charge upwards of $3 per watt for their LED lamps. Fuck that, I don`t and NEVER will love LED that much - even if it stays cool in the summers.

It is hard to say the Chinese shit is crap when it owned a digital 600w HPS, watt for watt. ;)

..The worst thing is, when I got the Chinese shit, the receipt said, "$90".. local wholesale price, i guess..

The digital 600w HPS made slightly more flower than the LED with 40% less energy, only slightly. The LED was tighter nugs but I don`t always like that, sometimes I hate it.

which is why I hate OG Kush and Kens GDP, ect.. it tastes like shit and is too dense.
